This week IDW continues the “When The Walls Fell” arc for their ongoing Star Trek series, which is part of the setup for the big “Star Trek: Lore War” crossover event coming in 2025. Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing co-write the series with art by Angel Hernandez. We have covers and a preview of issue 26.
Star Trek #26
Synopsis:
In its escape from the Delta Quadrant, the U.S.S. Theseus has landed in an unknown sector of space that appears safer-if not a hundred years younger-than their own. There, the crew receive a signal from an oncoming ship: the U.S.S. Enterprise. Captain James T. Kirk is hailing. The two crews join together in the race against Lore’s wave of destruction, convinced there must be some countermeasure that will save their universes from complete annihilation. But will their combined bravery and brainpower be enough? Or is it already too late for both their timelines?

I would so love to see Sisko/Brooks return in live action, maybe for a streaming event movie. Though there is something kinda romantic to him being in the celestial temple. (And yeah, I know that Brooks is retired & has no desire to return to the role.)
Yeah, it’d be great. It just seems like that story is totally set up.
Maybe if Kurtzmann waved enough money in Brooks’ direction?
WOW! I really need to catch up on the IDW comics, that’s a neat crossover.
It’s the second time it’s been done. The Kelvin crew met the DS9 crew several years back, in IDW’s previous ongoing series.
Yep cause of Q and his shenanigans
And another WOW! I have LOTS of catching up to do! I’m actually piecing together the spreadsheet for tracking it right now haha.
I don’t read them, but from what I’ve read in articles, they do stuff like this all the time.
It is fanfiction at its best and, if you go into it with the attitude that none of this stuff is canonical and enjoy it for what it is, I think you’ll be happy.
How convenient that Ambassador Spock doesn’t seem to be aboard the Theseus at this point as the Kelvin crew may recognize him as the Ambassador Spock they dealt with in the movies.
Not convenient at all. It’s because of what happened in previous issues.
This is the kind of crossover stuff many fans would love to see in a film some day. Yeah, I know it will never happen, but more proof why Trek is not a true film franchise the way MCU is. But it sounds like an awesome story.
Eh ya never know, before he exited I could have totally seen Bob Orci doing something like that for ST 13.
i hope this kirk takes some lessons in how to really be a captain from sisko.
‘..a bit more style..’
ouch!
Ugh, to be nitpicky, if that’s supposed to be the Kelvin Enterprise-A, it’s drawn like its predecessor – it’s missing the steeply angled saucer section edge, the redesigned dorsal and the thicker, straighter nacelle pylons. (returns to my back issues of Nacelles Monthly)
I noticed that too. Can’t remember who designed that ship, but it was never made by Eaglemoss or any other model maker.
The design wasn’t my favorite, but it was interesting. I’d like to have a model of that Kelvin Ent-A.
You can only do stuff like this in comics or novels.
Also, that doesn’t look like the Enterprise A from the end of Star Trek Beyond, does it?
I’m all for artistic license but that clearly is the JJprise just with the A slapped onto it. Not the Linprise from Beyond. And Kirk looks nothing like Chris Pine. I also remember when Boldly Go was cancelled and they said Kelvin Star Trek wasn’t over. Nearly a decade with no new comics or a new film. I could be wrong, but i think Kelvin Timeline is dead Jim.
