Star Trek: Lower Decks #4
Synopsis:
Rutherford to bridge. We’re not dead! However, after escaping a vacuum collapse of the Alecto system, the U.S.S. Cerritos is lost inside a new space-time that’s expanding away from us in every direction at the speed of light. To make matters worse, an alien intelligence made of pure energy has possessed Tendi and my bodies, shunting our consciousnesses into the ship’s computer. While it’s a fun, flirty energy, we’d very much like our bodies back so we can pop the expanding time bubble and save our universe!

More Lower Decks fun
If you want more Lower Decks, check out Star Trek: Lower Decks – Warp Your Own Way, IDW’s interactive graphic novel, also written by Ryan North with art by Chris Feoglio. It was released in October and strongly recommended in the TrekMovie review. You can pick it up at Amazon in paperback for $19.99 or Kindle/eBook for $7.02.

After the absolute dumpster fire of Section 31 it’s great to get back to some good and fun Trek stories again with our lower deckers! I definitely can use a palette cleanser.
I miss this show like no one’s business and may start reading the comics to give me my Cerritos fix!
You should! All of IDW’s Trek comics have been excellent, but Ryan North’s Lower Decks books are really something special. Fans who don’t read comics are missing out!
This issue actually gets somewhat dark, but it has a very touching conclusion. Through it all it still sticks to the spirit of Star Trek in general and Lower Decks in particular. Ryan North just gets it.
If we can’t get the show back, I’m so glad we have this comic series.
