It could be playtime again for Star Trek with a new line of toys coming from Master Replicas, with the two action figures already available for pre-order right now.
Toy time
Today Heathside Trading announced that they have signed a wide-ranging deal with Paramount Consumer Products to produce Star Trek toys and collectibles including action figures and playsets, replica phasers, communicators and tricorders, and other collectibles inspired by the franchise, all of which will be released through its Master Replicas brand. They will be releasing products tied to the newer Star Trek shows including Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Prodigy, Lower Decks, Picard, Section 31 and the forthcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
According to Master Replicas Creative Director Ben Robinson a new range of 4.5″ action figures will be “at the center” of their offering. “Our mission is to bring the fans items they have never had before. I’m delighted to say that we’re also going to be bringing fans the first ever 4.5” Star Trek: Lower Decks action figures and the cast of Star Trek: Prodigy starting with Rok-Tahk.”
The Master Replicas figures are being built to the same scale as the old Star Trek Playmates figures and “are designed to sit alongside them.”
The figures will be sold exclusively through MasterReplicas.com. Starting with Spock and Admiral Picard which are available now for pre-order, priced at $25.99 each. And new figures will be released every month. The first figures are expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2025.
According to Robinson, “By concentrating on Direct-To-Consumer sales we can provide the fans with the kind of deep-dive figures and collectibles that would be challenging for a traditional business… As fans ourselves, attention to detail is incredibly important to us and we’ve been poring over the reference material to make these some of the best figures anyone has ever seen. Every figure will come with accessories and we’re even planning some exclusive online variants that come with original fabric swatches from the Star Trek costume department.”

That Captain Riker figure looks terrible!
Yeah, I was just about to say the same thing. What the heck happened on THAT one? The others are pretty good.
Riker took the USS Ozempic on a shakedown cruise.
It’s not great. I thought it was a variant on Admiral Vance at first.
Riker looks like Timothy Olyphant
…was just about to say that. Star Trek: Justified.
100% coming to say this
Beat me to it. At first I was like, “Hair is telling me Pike…no…that’s Riker, all right, but…”
Well, I do think these are better sculpts than the playmate figures. The McFarlane figures, though, I think, were better.
Indeed.
$26 bucks for 4.5” !!!! Yikes
Same price as McFarlane action figures.
I used to collect DC action figures when they were $15. Now McFarlane has really great sculpts of so many figures but, at $25, well, that’s just too much.
Swords are fun!
Ah. I guess this is why The Nacelle Company couldn’t do any of the current era characters.
What!? No Section 31 figures?! But it was so popular!
Super off topic, but does anybody know when SNW will return?
I was wondering the same. I don’t think an official date has been announced yet.
Another day, another batch of terrible and not very cheap Star Trek figures.
We are the laugh of all the other franchises in terms of merchandising.
…and I would humbly offer, in terms of programming as well.
What’s going on with the tiny little spindly legs? Desiccated Riker looks the worst.
Sigh. Well, the fact that they’re 4.5″ scale gives me hope that another company will make them at 6″ scale sometime later.
I was looking forward to collect the full Picard Season 3 cast of action figures, but only if they were done right. These are not so good, so I will hold off. The EXO-6 figures are not my thing, I prefer the 6″ scale.
IMHO The G.I. Joe Classified 6″ figures are the best ever made. I wish that there could be Star Trek figures done in the same way. Here’s hoping!
Spock looks like Johnny Long Torso
Nice to see actual Star Trek figures back and they all look good except the Riket one.
The prices are utterly ridiculous though.
Not really seeing much to complain about beyond the price. I like them!
Why are the torsos so long? These things look disproportionate.
so…where’s the Master and Replica part?
He he. I see what you did there. Their name. They didn’t live up to the implications of their name.
I won’t be giving these folks another penny after the way they handled the Eaglemoss model sales.
Love the Lower Decks figures.
Lame looking, tiny and expensive, the usual deal for trekkies. It’s that hard to have a decent looking, affordable line of 6″ figures? Every other franchise out there had them.
I wish we were back to the Diamond days. Those figures were great, and still the best ones on my collection.
