New Line Of Palm-Sized Die-Cast Star Trek Ships With Reference Books Coming This Summer

Ship model collectors now have more to chose from with the announcement of the “Star Trek Starships Library” of reference books that come with smaller die-cast models.  The new line from Master Replicas starts off with three ships in July and pre-orders are available now.

According to Master Replicas this will provide collectors “with in-depth reference to some of the most historic Star Trek ships while offering them the opportunity to hold the models in their hands.” The palm-sized models will be made of a combination of die-cast metal and ABS resin and will measure between 4” and 5” long. This makes them around half the size of the Fanhome (and former Eaglemoss) die-cast ships.

The first three books and models will be released this Summer and are:

  • U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds)
  • U.S.S. Cerritos (Star Trek: Lower Decks)
  • U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 (Star Trek 2009)

The models have been made “with careful reference to the original visual effects models featured on the shows and movies and then carefully painted to be as accurate as possible,” with Master Replicas working closely with Paramount Consumer Products. ”We are thrilled to continue our journey with Star Trek, bringing a range of ships with books to market that we know will really resonate with fans who love this franchise,” said Darren Epstein, EVP, Global Master Replicas in a statement.

The books will cover each ship in detail with annotated plan views of the exterior, an in-universe service history, a behind-the-scenes account of the ship’s appearances in the Star Trek franchise, and information about how and why it was created with new interviews with the creators.

I just wish someone would bring back Star Trek Micro Machines. Jazwares has that license. Could someone from Paramount please recruit that company to make it happen. I would even be willing to buy blind packs if that would help. I just want affordable starship collectibles that won’t break the bank and that I won’t be worried that they might be stolen if I have a few on my desk at work!

100%

I’d worry less about the models being stolen off your desk at work and more about your co-workers beating you up for your lunch money. 🤣

My coworkers are into Pokémon and My Little Pony. I got this Bruh! 😂

This is funny because I’m doing some Spring Cleaning and have sold off the remainder of my Star Trek collectibles. The one thing I decided to keep are my three Micro Machines sets, still amazing to this day! Couldn’t part with them and some great memories of getting them as gifts back in the 90’s.

Brandon you read my mind! Please bring back micromachines!

I don’t like the stands. I find these stands off putting.

The Cerritos might have to come home with me. I hope they make the Voyager-A, such a beautiful ship.

I really dislike how TOS Enterprise has been replaced by Discoprise in recent depictions of TOS era. Like TOS was completly erased and replaced by SNW asthetics.

I don’t hate “Discoprise,” to be honest, but I love Resurrected Starship’s “enhanced and augmented” version of the Connie-class Enterprise the same way I love the TOS and TMP versions.

so star trek micro machines has returned with books?
