See The Clone Of Kahless Meet His Makers In Preview Of ‘Star Trek’ #30

This week IDW wraps up the six-part “When The Walls Fell” arc for their ongoing Star Trek series, which is part of the setup for the big “Star Trek: Lore War” crossover event coming later this month. Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing co-write the series with art by Tess Fowler. We have covers and a preview of issue 30.

Star Trek #30

Synopsis:

After the Day of Blood, Kahless II is a defeated, broken man who has but one path left: face himself. Thrown backward in time by the Time Crystals of Boreth, Kahless witnesses his own cruelty, hubris, and thirst for messianic power. When he comes face-to-face with himself as a young boy holding his father’s blade for the first time, Kahless must decide what a Klingon’s honor truly means.

I often wonder how well these sell. I mean, I never see chatter about them except disparagingly. But I don’t frequent comics circles, so maybe I’m off in my assessment.

They must sell a decent amount or they’d surely have been scaled back or cancelled by now.i used to like the DC Trek comics back in the early 90’s. The art wasn’t always great but the writing was pretty good. These IDW efforts feel too much like fanfic for me.
