Watch Shatner & Richard Simmons Get Real Close On Today Show + Shatner/John Edward Raw Nerve Preview

Let’s start off the day with some more fun with Shatner. The original Captain Kirk was a guest on NBC’s Today Show, where he was promoting his Bio show Shatner’s Raw Nerve. Also on hand was ‘Sweatin to the Oldies’ fitness video guru Richard Simmons, and the pair got a little close for comfort on the couch, check out the videos below. We also have a preview of Shatner’s Raw Nerve with psychic John Edward, airing tonight.

Star Trek: The Music Performing In Calgary Next Week

You have have seen the multi-city tour for Star Wars: In Concert, but there is actually a (smaller) Star Trek tour also going on. "Star Trek: The Music," hosted by Bob Picardo and John DeLancie, has been performed by a number of orchestras in North America since 2007. The next stop is next week in Calgary, Alberta. CBS Announces New (and Expanded) High-end Star Trek Replica Licenses

In the last few months CBS and Paramount have already announced deals with Quantum Mechanix and eFX for high end replicas from classic Star Trek series and the new Star Trek movie. Today CBS has announced expansions of those lines, plus two new additional licensees for high-end replicas and collectibles.

Book Review: Star Trek: The Art of the Film

Fans have been waiting for non fiction ‘making of’ books about 2009’s Star Trek. In fact, it has been almost ten years since a Star Trek film had a dedicated behind the scenes tome, yet the good news is on November 17th, the same day as the release of the 2009 Star Trek DVDs, Titan Publishers are making available "Star Trek: The Art of the Film" by Mark Cotta Vaz. Playmates Toys Expanding Star Trek Line To Original Series + More Movie Toys For 2010

One of the great things about toys and collectibles is that they help make the wait between movies (and television shows…you listening CBS?) more tolerable. More SDCC Star Trek Exclusives: Genki Khan Cologne & Hot Wheels Enterprise in Dock

As yet another sign of Star Trek’s return to the mainstream, more and more companies are announcing exclusive Trek items for the San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26).
