For the last week Sir Patrick Stewart, Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Jean Luc Picard, has been attending the Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland as the chair of the Jury. And on Monday night Stewart was the subject of BAFTA Scotland Interview where he spoke about his career on stage and screen, including Star Trek. Full video of that event and more below.

Over the weekend the annual Pedalpalooza was held in Portland, Oregon. The four day festival celebrating cycling included a number of events and rides, including a "Star Trek vs Star Trek" ride on Saturday. Lots of fans of both showed up in costume and with bikes modified for space-flight. Check out photos below.


Roberto Orci: Star Trek Sequel Script Draft Done By Christmas + Talks ‘Darker’ vs ‘Fun’ Theme

Roberto Orci, who is writing the Star Trek sequel with Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof, gave an update on the project in a new interview. The script should be done at the end of the year. Today a mysterious new shot film tied into the Mortal Kombat video game franchise was released. Titled "Mortal Kombat Rebirth", it isn’t clear if this is related to a new video game, or to a possible Mortal Kombat film. Koenig, Luna & Cawley Headed To Riverside, IA For TrekFest 2010 + Another Costumed Trekkies Record Attempt

On June 25th & 26th, the town of Riverside IA will hold its 26th annual TrekFest. Part town fair and part Star Trek convention, this year Riverside (aka "the future birthplace of James T. Kirk") will feature guests Walter Koenig, BarBara Luna and James Cawley. In addition, TrekFest will also be taking a crack at that Trek fans in costume record. More details below.
