2013 is a big year for Chris Pine with Star Trek Into Darkness in May and Jack Ryan in December. And heading these two franchises has earned Pine the Male Star of The Year award from the National Association of Theater Owners.
JJ Abrams is making another sci-fi TV show and he is bringing one of his Star Trek stars on board. Today it was announced that Karl Urban will be starring in Abrams show Human on Fox. On Friday William Shatner’s voice will be heard in the animated feature Escape From Planet Earth. While doing publicity for the movie, Bill again weighed in on the new Star Trek, this time heaping praise on director JJ Abrams and the new Kirk, Chris Pine. More details (and video) below.
