A new nerdy short film is going viral around the web this week. Created by Max Landis, writer for the recently released sci-fi film Chronicle (and son of director John Landis), the film features Max retelling the story of the death of Superman from DC comics in the early 90s. It also features a number of celebrity cameos, including Star Trek’s Simon Pegg.

For most of the time the last Star Trek film was in production, Hollywood was working under a Writer’s Guild strike. Last week Paramount finally acknowledged that the sequel to the 2009 Star Trek movie has been delayed. Paramount did not set a new release date and now co-writer/producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman say the schedule is still up in the air, but they are already working as fast as they can.
