Michael Bay Talks About Leonard Nimoy & Star Trek Nods In Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

Yesterday we talked about Paramount’s big Star Trek movie for next 4th of July weekend (at least officially). For this 4th of July weekend Paramount’s big movie is Transformer: Dark of the Moon, and it turns out that it contains some Star Trek of its own. Today director Michael Bay is talking about the Trek references in TF3, including Leonard Nimoy’s voice work.

Today Electra Records released an "official alternative" music video from Bruno Mars hit "The Lazy Song," starring Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy having a very lazy day. New Previews For Orci/Kurtzman/Lindelof’s Cowboys & Aliens + Leonard Nimoy on Fringe

Last night if you watched American Idol on FOX you would have caught previews of a couple of things related to the world of Star Trek. First was the new trailer for Cowboys & Aliens, written by Star Trek writer/producers Orci, Kurtzman and Lindelof. In addition there was another preview for tonight’s episode of Fringe that could explain the interesting way Leonard Nimoy will be appearing. Watch both below.

Preview Tuesday’s ‘Pioneers of Television’ On PBS – Focusing on Gene Roddenberry & SciFi

On Tuesday the PBS series Pioneers of Television airs turns its attention to science fiction, with an episode honoring a number of luminaries in the field, including Gene Roddenberry. Leonard Nimoy Announces 2011 Appearances In Long Beach, Las Vegas, Phoenix and more

Back in the spring Leonard Nimoy announced that 2010 would be his last year for doing conventions, but earlier in December it was announced he was doing at least one in San Francisco in 2011. Now comes word that he will also be doing an event in Long Beach, the big Star Trek con in Las Vegas, Phoenix Comic Con, possibly Dragon*Con and more. Details below.


Leonard Nimoy To Attend 2011 San Francisco Star Trek Con + Creation Plans 9 Trek Cons For 45th Anniv.

Earlier this year Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy said 2010 would be his final year for conventions, but Creation has just announced that Mr. Nimoy is planning to attend their San Francisco con next March. In addition, Creation has a total of nine cons lined up for the next year, celebrating Star Trek’s 45th anniversary.
