Rumor: Into Darkness Quinto’s Last Star Trek? Unlikely [UPDATE: ZQ Tweets ‘Simmer Down’]

Looks like we have another ‘will Zachary Quinto return to the role of Spock?’ scare going on. In a new interview promoting his work on American Horror Story, Zach said something which could (if viewed in a certain way) be interpreted as possibly saying he might not return for a third Trek film, following Star Trek Into Darkness.


Abrams Not Interested In Directing Star Wars VII – Planning New Original Project

Since the recent announcement that Disney had acquired LucasFilm and they were moving forward with a new Star Wars film trilogy there has been a lot of speculation about who will be involved in these projects. Karl Urban Talks ‘Character-Driven’ Star Trek Sequel + How He Approached Role Of McCoy

Karl Urban is back on the big screen in a couple of weeks, starring in the new Judge Dredd movie. While doing publicity he is trying hard to not talk about his role as Dr. McCoy in the 2013 Star Trek sequel, but some bits are sneaking through. This fall Star Trek director/producer (and co-creator of Lost and Fringe) JJ Abrams has another mysterious TV show headed to NBC, Revolution. The new series is set in a post-apocalypse world where all technology has stopped working. A new clip with footage and interview clips (including Abrams and pilot director Jon Favreau) was revealed at Comic Con and is now available from NBC. Watch it below  


Damon Lindelof Talks About Struggle To Find Title For Star Trek Sequel (Without AColon)

Star Trek sequel co-writer producer Damon Lindelof was interviewed at San Diego Comic Con over the weekend and went into detail on how the team are struggling to chose a title for the film and they are now to the point where Paramount is getting impatient. Kurtzman and Pine: Star Trek Sequel Crew Still On Journey To TOS Crew + Cumberbatch’s Villain Helps Kirk ‘Grow’

In the last day as part of their People Like Us publicity tour, both director Alex Kurtzman and star Chris Pine have ended up discussing the Star Trek sequel and specifically the arc of Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise, with both noting that the end of the 2009 movie was not the end of their journey to becoming like the crew of the original series. Pine also talked about Benedict Cumberbatch and how his villain brings out the best qualities in Kirk’s journey.

Star Trek sequel co-writer/producer was a call-in guest on a Southern California radio show over the weekend. He didn’t give away any big spoilers for the Star Trek movie, but he did rule out the appearance of a number of classic Star Trek characters. And perhaps more intriguingly, Orci discussed in detail some of the discussions that have been going on regarding bringing Star Trek back to TV.

Lindelof Talks Star Trek Sequel’s ‘Nuanced’ Antagonist + Pine Talks Story vs FX

Film Review: Prometheus

With Prometheus (in theaters today) director Ridley Scott returns to the film universe he started with Alien in 1979. Co-written by Star Trek’s Damon Lindelof, the new movie is a worthy addition to the Alien franchise, but also a different film that poses as many questions as it answers.
