Pine: William Shatner’s Kirk More Iconic Than Ford/Baldwin/Affleck’s Ryan

Watch: Wil Wheaton & William Shatner’s Dueling Narrations For NASA’s New Mars Rover

Once again NASA looks to Star Trek to help tell their story. Today the space agency released two versions of a video about the Curiosity Rover (aka Mars Science Laboratory) which is scheduled to touch down on the surface of Mars next week. And to satisfy fans of different generations one version of the video is narrated by original Star Trek star William Shatner and the other has Next Generation’s Wil Wheaton. Shatner’s ‘Get A Life!’ Doc Premiering at Comic Con + on EPIX Channel July 28

JJ Abrams may not be bringing his latest Star Trek project to Comic-con, but William Shatner is. The EPIX Chanel is sending Bill to San Diego Comic-con for a panel on his new Trek fan documentary "Get a Life!" which will also be screened for the first time. Last night William Shatner appeared on The Colbert Report to promote his new Broadway show and host Stephen Colbert showed his inner Trekkie by gushing with Bill, including saying that when he was on Star Trek he was "god damn beautiful" and a "golden god."
