On Friday William Shatner was a guest on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight. Topics ranged from politics to his latest book, but there was a good amount of talk of Star Trek where Bill talked about how his history is "like a cape" and how he does care about the "enmity" some of his Trek co-stars have carried all these years. William Shatner to guest star on ABC’s Rookie Blue + Shatner’s version of Iron Man to be released

Although his CBS sitcom $#*! My Dad Says was canceled in May, Star Trek’s William Shatner is staying busy. Shatner will guest star on the ABC series Rookie Blue. There’s also an update on his music career, with news that his version of Black Sabbath’s "Iron Man" will be released on his October album Seeking Major Tom (Cleopatra).

Exclusive Video: William Shatner On His (Unseen) ‘Star Trek’ Scene & Appearing In Sequel

Last week at the Epix outdoor screening of The Captains in Los Angeles I had a chance to talk briefly to William Shatner about that Star Trek 2009 scene written for (but never shown to) him. Shatner Hosting Outdoor “Captains” Screenings In LA & NYC + Stewart & Bakula Confirmed For SDCC

Four Star Trek captains will be at San Diego Comic Con 2011 with Patrick Stewart and Scott Bakula now confirmed for separate events (in addition to the previously announced The Captains panel with William Shatner & Avery Brooks). Creation Developing New Fan Reality Show With William Shatner – Pilot Shooting At New Jersey Con

Today Star Trek’s original Kirk returned to his alma mater McGill University in Montreal, Canada to receive an honorary doctorate and to deliver the convocation address where he advised the new graduates to take risks and not be afraid of of making an ass" of themselves, noting it had worked for him. We now have a date and a place for when we will be able to see William Shatner’s The Captains. The documentary about the various Star Trek captains will premiere on the EPIX channel (and online) on July 21st.
