Jim Beam Me Up! Trekkie asks Jim Beam to Send Him to the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention

Jim Beam Me Up! One Trekkie has taken to Twitter to launch a campaign to get Jim Beam to sponsor him as the "first Official Unofficial Trekkie of Jim Beam" and send him to the big Creation Star Trek convention in Las Vegas this August. The Seattle-based graphics designer has been posting flyers and trek-themed drink recipes (all using Jim Beam, of course) and the official Jim Beam Twitter account has even taken notice!

Star Trek Vancouver 2011 Con Report & Photos

Last weekend was Creation Entertainment’s second Star Trek convention in Vancouver Canada with a guest list that included Nichelle Nichols, George Takei, Dominic Keating, Connor Trinneer, Rene Auberjonois, Nana Visitor, Barbara March, Gwyneth Walsh, J.G. There were a couple of interesting panels at Phoenix Comicon that focused on specific Star Trek episodes. Larry Nemecek Producing New “Con Of Wrath” Documentary About Infamous Star Trek Con

Back in 1982 the "Ultimate Fantasy" convention in Houston was going to bring together all the original Star Trek stars into one place for a historic event, but it turned into a disaster that took the stars themselves to save the show. LA Star Trek Screening w/ Meyer, Orci, Kurtzman & Lindelof + More May & June Events/Appearances

May and June are chock full of Star Trek events including a just-announced L.A. Star Trek double-feature with Orci, Kurtzman, Lindelof and Nick Meyers. No Progress On Bringing Star Trek: The Experience Back To Las Vegas [UPDATED]

The attraction Star Trek: The Experience closed down at the Las Vegas Hilton in September 2008. Since that time CBS had tried to bring a new Star Trek: The Attraction to Vegas, but that has since fizzled. A new report now cites CBS as confirming that there are no current plans for a new Star Trek: The Experience. [UPDATE: Statement from CBS]
