More Star Trek: The Experience Warehouse Sale Video

Last weekend CBS and PropWorx held a warehouse sale of assets of the former Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. Former Borg cast member Vernon Wilmer has been working on a documentary about ST: The Experience and has just released an extended video from the event, including costumes being delivered to other ex cast members.

New ‘LCARS’ iPad Application Released

If you want your new Apple iPad to really feel like a Star Trek PADD, you are going to need a Star Trek style LCARS interface. Earlier this week we reported that the much talked about "Captain’s Log" iPad application was pulled from Apple’s iTunes. Now this weekend a new Star Trek-ish application has been released called the "LCARS Internet Media Reader". Check it out below.



Console Version Of Star Trek Online Put On ‘Back Burner’

Before the MMORPG Star Trek Online was released on PC, members of the Cryptic team had confirmed the game would eventually also be developed for at least one of the gaming consoles (XBox 360 and/or Playstation 3). However, not it appears that this will not happen, or at least no happen any time soon. STO’s executive producer has now confirmed that a console version is ‘on the back burner.’

IDW Brings Star Trek Comics To The iPad

Apples new iPad (or if you prefer iPADD) is the hot thing in tech right now. And IDW, the publisher of Star Trek comics, has just announced they will be taking advantage of the device Steve Jobs calls ‘magical’. DEBUNKED: Leonard Nimoy NOT Providing Voice For New Transformers Videogame

Leonard Nimoy has recently spoke about his retirement from acting, but it appears he did find time to fit in some voice work for a Transformers video game. Nimoy, who also recently provided voice work for Star Trek Online, will be featured in the upcoming Activision game "Transformers: War for Cybertron". UPDATE: Apparently this is a rumor and has been denied by Activision.



Pocket To Release ‘Department of Temporal Investigation’ novel + more Star Trek book updates

Star Trek author Christopher L. Bennett ("Ex Machina", "Over a Torrent Sea") has announced that he is writing about book about the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations, introduced in the Deep Space Nine "Trials and Tribble-ations". The novel is expected to be released by Pocket Books in 2011. Details on that along with some more Trek book updates below.
