New Clues In Star Trek Viral ARG [UPDATE: More Clues]

Over the weekend TrekMovie reported on a Viral ‘Alternative Reality Game’ for the new Star Trek movie with clues being left in images and on various websites. Although we think we solved one of the clues, it appears there is more to this game than originally thought. Today we have some more found clues, which only lead to more questions about the scope of the overall game. [article updated with more clues found by TM community members]

Playmates Week (Day 2): Review Of Star Trek Playsets

Today  we continue our weeklong look at the first wave of Playmates Star Trek movie toys (officially coming out April 19th) with a look at the two playsets, one for the bridge of the USS Enterprise, and one for the transporter room. This week brings a lot of news about Star Trek Online. Cryptic has released another one of their ‘path to 2409′ updates, which links into the recent Countdown comic series. Today the second issue of the "Mission’s End" series comes out and it is full of politics and intrigue, set at the end of the TOS five year mission. Below we have a review of "Missions End" #2. Library Computer: Review – “Star Trek Countdown” Trade Paperback

Today is the official release date of the of the trade paperback for the comic series, "Star Trek Countdown," the prequel for the new Star Trek movie. Many fans held off from reading the individual issues (reviewed here at TrekMovie), awaiting the TPB. So this week the Library Computer takes a bit of a side-trip to review the graphic novel and find out if it was worth the wait.

DVD Review – Shatner’s Groom Lake + ShatWatch: King of All Media Edition

Just this month William Shatner’s 2002 feature film Groom Lake on has been re-released on DVD this March. First shown in the early 2000s on the Sci-Fi Channel, the film is a science fiction tale written, produced, and directed by William Shatner (who also stars in the movie). First Details On Star Trek D.A.C. – Official Movie Tie-in Game

A couple of weeks ago TrekMovie first showed off a promo sheet we found for something called ‘Star Trek D.A.C.’, which was the first hint there would be some kind of game related to the new Star Trek movie. At the time Paramount was not talking, but now they are. Today during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, TrekMovie got the lowdown on what D.A.C. is all about.






ST09 Tidbits (Spocks Edition): Nimoy Supports Vulcans [UPDATED] + Quinto Reads Audiobook & Appears in GQ

For today’s tidbits at T-49 days we will do something a little different and focus on a few new stories coming from the new two Spocks, Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy. First off Mr. Nimoy has taken up the cause of Vulcan (Alberta, Canada). As for Mr. Quinto, it was just announced he will be reading the Star Trek audiobook, plus he appears in the new GQ.
