Hasbro Star Trek Line Unveiled At Toy Fair – Possibly Revealing Some Into Darkness Clues

Yesterday we reported the outline of Hasbro’s plans for Star Trek this spring, and today the company revealed their line at the Toy Fair in New York. The line covers toys for both Star Trek in general as well as speicific toys for the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness movie. And some of the toys may provide some clues about the Into Darkness movie. Hasbro Reveals Star Trek KRE-O Details + First Look At Revell Enterprise & DST ‘Cloaked’ Bird of Prey

Today at the annual Toy Fair in New York Hasbro outlined their product plans for the upcoming year at an investor event, including their line of KRE-O figures and sets for Star Trek Into Darkness. First Look At Star Trek KRE-O USS Enterprise + Teaser For Stop-Motion KRE-O Trek Short

TrekMovie is back from vacation with news from one of the exciting things to look forward to with the 2013 Star Trek sequel. The new movie ushers in the first Trek tie-ins from toy giant Hasbro. And today Paramount and Hasbro announced they will be revealing the first Star Trek toys from their KRE-O building blocks line at San Diego Comic Con later this month. They have released a first look at the KRE-O USS Enterprise and a video teaser for an upcoming stop-motion KRE-O Star Trek short film. Check those out below.


Picard, Kirk, and Friends Journey into Space on Gigantic Balloon

Captains Kirk and Picard have officially made it into space! Aboard a high altitude balloon, that is. A few weeks ago we reported one man’s quest to kickstart a campaign to send action figures of Captains Kirk and Picard (and their friends) 100,000 feet into the upper atmosphere. Well, he’s done it with the help of a large team of friends and cameramen. Hit the jump for photos!

Meet Logan Kugler, a space enthusiast/trekkie with one simple goal: to send Captains Picard and Kirk into near-space — well, their action figures at least! Kugler has started a now fully funded (but still taking pledges for the next 24-hours) Kickstarter project to finance a high-altitude balloon that will send action figures of Captains Kirk and Picard along with their respective starship models (and a few of their friends) to a height of 120,000 feet along with cameras to capture the entire event. They are even selling the Kirk action figure and the model of the USS Enterprise that he flies to space on for the next 24-hours on their Kickstarter page!


Hasbro To Make Star Trek Toy Line – Starting In 2013 [UPDATED]

Today brings big news for the world of Star Trek toys. In advance of the big Toy Fair which opens this weekend in New York, Hasbro has announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with CBS to make a “variety” of Star Trek toys, starting in 2013…just in time for the next Star Trek movie. Recently TrekMovie awarded the clever folks at ThinkGeek some accolades in our selections of the Best 2011 Star Trek Merchandise, and it looks like the hits will keep on coming in 2012 with the announcement of two new Star Trek products. Tonight is preview night for San Diego Comic Con and two licensees are revealing some cool new Star Trek items. Hallmark is unveiling three 2012 Star Trek ornaments: The Enterprise D, a two Spocks scene from the 2009 Star Trek movie, and a classic Dr. McCoy. The Collective: Star Trek Japanese Imports Coming – Dragon 12″ TNG Figures + TOS Bearbricks

This summer there are a few interesting Japanese imports coming that are of interest to Star Trek collectors. First up, Dragon Models have a line of Star Trek: The Next Generation 12" cloth figures coming this month. And in September, collectors can pick up MediCom Bearbrick figures that have been Trek-ified. More details below.
