VegasTrekCon10 Friday: DS9 Stars Talk Trek Past (and Future) and more [PHOTOS]

Friday’s Star Trek convention in Las Vegas was mostly themed around Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Series regulars Avery Brooks, Nana Visitor, Rene Auberjonois and Armin Shimerman were on hand, along with a number of DS9 recurring guest stars. They talked about their roles on the show and more, including Brooks’ comment on a possible future DS9 or appearance in the Star Trek sequel. Details and photos below.







Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Avery Brooks & More Trek Stars At Philadelphia Comic Con This Weekend

This weekend, fans in the Philadelphia, PA area are in for a treat with a number of Trek celebrities headed into town for Wizard World's Philadelphia Comic Con, including Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, and John DeLancie from TNG, plus Avery Brooks and Cirroc Loften from DS9. Star Trek Celebrities Attending Memorial Day Weekend Cons In Phoenix, Los Angeles and Milton Keynes

It is Memorial Day Weekend and this year the summer is kicking off with Star Trek celebrities fanning out to a few cons around the world. Phoenix Comic Con in Arizona, Collectormania in Milton Keynes, UK and Showstoppers Spectacular in LA, CA all have main cast Trek TV stars, plus many Trek guest stars. Con Report: TNG, DS9 & VOY Trek Stars At FedCon XIX

In the beginning of May more than 5,000 fans met their genre stars at FedCon XIX, Europe’s biggest Star Trek and Sci Fi convention, in Bonn, Germany. Star Trek was represented well by Michael Dorn, Terry Farrell, Suzie Plakson, Chase Masterson, Martha Hackett and Manu Intiraymi. See below for a report from the event, including photos.



Ron Moore Inks New TV Development Deal With Sony

Recently Brannon Braga, the man with the most Star Trek writing credits, inked a big TV development deal with Fox and soon signed on as showrunner for Steven Spielberg’s time-travel dinosaur series. Now comes news that the man with the 2nd most writing credits, Ron Moore, has also got a new TV deal, this time with Sony, which will hopefully result in even more new sci-fi TV. Details below.

June Star Trek Charity Auction – Contains Lots From Roddenberry Estate, William Shatner & 2009 Star Trek Movie

In June Julien’s Auctions will be holding an auction of items from the estate of Gene and Majel Roddenberry, from William Shatner and from JJ Abrams & Paramount. The lots, on auction to benefit charity, will range from personal items from Roddenberry’s office, to costumes from the 2009 Star Trek movie, to William Shatner’s motorcycle.    




FedCon XIX Preview: DS9 Stars + Phase II Screenings + Trek Costume Record Attempt + more

From April 30th to May 2nd Europe’s biggest Star Trek and Sci-Fi convention will take place in Bonn, Germany. Around 5,000 fans will meet over 20 guests, including Trek stars Michael Dorn, Terry Farrell, and Nicole de Boer. There will also be another attempt to break the Star Trek fans in costume record (on the same day as the attempt at Vulcan Con in FL). Details below.
