CBS and Paramount have released more box art for the upcoming Star Trek Blu-Ray releases. Plus there is a new promo video online for the TOS Season One Blu-ray set. And there an additional exciting Deluxe Edition film coming out on the same day as the other Trek films (hint: one special feature is a ‘Thermian Audio Track’).

Today CBS and Paramount made official what we have been reporting for months, for the first time ever, Star Trek is coming to Blu-ray in 2009. CBS announced a Blu-ray set for the first season of TOS and Paramount announced all the TOS era movies are coming to Blu-ray, all to be released this Spring. We’ve checked in repeatedly with Digital Bits and TrekMovie industry sources and we’re now able to bring you accurate, updated details.

Today we look at all the other official productions related to Star Trek coming from CBS and the various official licensees, including picking our favorite Trek episode, DVD, book, comics, and events of the year.
Season Three of Remastered Star Trek The Original Series finally gets released on DVD Tuesday November 18th. Trek’s third season was a mixed bag at best, but still contained some classic episodes, plus the Remastered process added some new moments to the cash-strapped final season. The DVD set also has some new interesting brand new special features.
The new trailer for the Star Trek movie will be online shortly, but CBS wants to remind people that the Original is still out there. CBS is still airing Star Trek Remastered in syndication. Next month they will be releasing a new fun light-hearted promo to stations, but they sent it over to TrekMovie this morning for a first look, check it out below.
In November Star Trek: The Original Series Remastered- Season Three will be released, finishing off the entire series in remastered form (including the still unaired remastered version of "The Cage"). Now CBS Paramount has finally released the box art for the set, see below.
TrekMovie recently reported that the third and final season of Star Trek (Remastered) will be released in November. Now CBS has announced that they will also be packing all three seasons in a money savings DVD pack, and both the Season Three box and the combo pack are now now available for pre-order.
The second season of Star Trek is arguably the best season of the franchise. With classics like "Mirror, Mirror," "Amok Time," "Journey to Babel," "Trouble With Tribbles," and "The Doomsday Machine," Season Two has everything from humor, to character development, to ship on ship action. Although many are waiting to see the digitally remastered episodes on Blu-ray, the standard def. set arrives next week and is very tempting.
Today CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment announced the third season DVD set for the digitally remastered Star Trek. The set will hit the streets November 18th, which is one year after Season One arrived (on HD DVD / DVD combo). Season Two arrives in stores next week. CBS does not have any more details or box art, but TVShowsOnDVD has some preliminary artwork.
As the project to digitally remastered Star Trek The Original Series wraps up its run on broadcast syndication, we are now seeing it slowly spread out into the world in other places and formats.
