Star Trek’s most prolific screenwriter Brannon Braga is penning a Star Trek comic book. This afternoon IDW announced the upcoming series "Star Trek: The Next Generation – Hive," and as the name implies, it is all about the Borg. The series kicks off in September. A couple of weekends ago, all five Star Trek TV captains appeared together at a convention, at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. Last month we reported that all five of Star Trek’s TV captains will gather for the first time ever at Destination Star Trek London in October. However, with the addition of Patrick Stewart to their line-up it turns out that Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con being held May 31 – June 3rd will get the honor of first collection of five Trek captains. TNT has just announced their summer schedule which includes a new show called Perception from veteran Star Trek writer/producers Kenneth Biller and Mike Sussman. Starring Eric McCormack, Perception is a different kind of procedural and it will feature Star Trek: The Next Generation’s LeVar Burton in a recurring role. Actress Jeri Ryan spent four years in the Delta Quadrant on Star Trek: Voyager. In a new interview the actress says she is happy about her time on the show and with the character, but she doesn’t miss her costume. She even goes into some detail on some her corset’s painful functionality.

It was January 16, 1995 when the premiere episode of Star Trek Voyager, titled “Caretaker,” premiered with nearly 14 million fans tuned to the UPN network’s very first show. From 1995 to 2001, Voyager produced almost 170 episodes and brought new demographics to Star Trek audiences. It also brought a variety of collectibles. From The Next Generation to Voyager to Enterprise — and Star Trek movies in between — Brannon Braga has had his hands in hundreds of hours of Star Trek. The writer/producer’s next project, however, is Fox’s prehistoric time travel series Terra Nova from producer Steven Spielberg. Braga took some time to reflect on his time with Star Trek in a new interview with StarTrek.com.
The Fed Con Special "Captains Table" took place last weekend at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. Guests were Captain Sisko Avery Brooks, Captain Janeway Kate Mulgrew, Captain Picard Patrick Stewart with his son Daniel and Voyager’s Ensign Harry Kim Garrett Wang as master of ceremonies.
