Sci-Fi TV Update: de Lancie To Guest On Torchwood: Miracle Day + Stargate TV/DVD Movies Shut Down

Star Trek: The Next Generation’s enigmatic Q John De Lancie is headed to another sci-fi series, this time the new season of Torchwood titled "Torchwood: Miracle Day". And in other sci-fi TV news, the Stargate franchise seems to have been completely put to an end (or at least hibernation) with the announcement that all Stargate DVD movie projects (including one with Voyager’s Bob Picardo) have been stopped.

Netflix Update: All Star Trek TV Series To Begin Streaming In July

In February we reported that CBS and Netflix had cut a deal to begin streaming a number of CBS series, including all of the Star Trek TV shows. Chris Pine Wins LA Drama Award + Beltran To Star In New LA Play

Last summer, Star Trek’s new Captain Kirk, Chris Pine got rave reviews for his stage work in the dark satire "The Lieutenant of Inishmore". Last night Pine won an LA Drama Circle Award for the play, and he was joined at the event by his father (a fellow Trek vet) who also won an award. Former Star Trek overlord Rick Berman has revealed that he at work on a previously promised memoir of his two decades with the Star Trek franchise. In a new interview, the ex-producer also talks about taking over producing Star Trek: The Next Generation from Gene Roddenberry, as well as creating Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise.
