Watch: Stephen Colbert Arm-Wrestles William Shatner + Clips From “Shatner’s World” On Broadway

Last night William Shatner appeared on The Colbert Report to promote his new Broadway show and host Stephen Colbert showed his inner Trekkie by gushing with Bill, including saying that when he was on Star Trek he was "god damn beautiful" and a "golden god." Jimmy also arranged a phone call with Chris’ high school crush Kristy Swanson (the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer). Watch it below.

Viral Video: The Death And Return of Superman (featuring Simon Pegg cameo)

A new nerdy short film is going viral around the web this week. Created by Max Landis, writer for the recently released sci-fi film Chronicle (and son of director John Landis), the film features Max retelling the story of the death of Superman from DC comics in the early 90s. It also features a number of celebrity cameos, including Star Trek’s Simon Pegg.

Over the weekend there was a meeting of the franchises on the BBC’s The Graham Norton Show. Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Sir Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson were both guests and at one point Norton decided to compare their respective interactive toys. Yesterday Americans were glued to their TVs watching the final four teams vie for spots in the Super Bowl (alas San Francisco, future home of Starfleet, lost). However, Europeans were also watching their own football, and in a match between Malaga and Barcelona, the announcer went to the final frontier in describing a goal by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Priceline Says Goodbye To Shatner’s “Negotiator” – Watch Final Ad

It looks like Star Trek’s William Shatner is saying goodbye to another character — who is literally going out in a heroic blaze of glory. Today Priceline released what they are calling the final ad featuring Shatner as "The Negotiator," and they may even be ending their relationship with the actor who helped launch the brand in the 90s. We also have a retrospective of some of Shat’s best Priceline spots.

Coincidence Alert! The big news of the week was that British actor Benedict Cumberbatch was cast as the villain in the Star Trek sequel.
