More images from the recent Empire magazine cover story on Star Trek Into Darkness have emerged. Mostly they are things variations of things seen before but there is one image of director JJ Abrams with a clear view of the bridge on a ship different than the USS Enterprise. TrekMovie takes a closer look at that image and goes back to analyze other images that appear to be (or could be) from the same setting. Beware of potential spoilers.

“Imagine being a Star Wars fan driving past Lucasfilm, and seeing the Millennium Falcon in a dumpster.” Would never happen, right? Well, it did. Only it wasn’t Star Wars, and it wasn’t that infamous Corellian freighter found in a trash heap, it was the bridge of the finest ship in the galaxy, the USS Enterprise-D. And the Star Trek fan that found it is named Huston Huddleston, and he’s currently working to restore the bridge set to its former glory. I talked at length with Huston about how he was able to acquire the Bridge, the details of how he started his project to restore the set, how the project is going, and the support he has gotten from fans and Star Trek professionals alike.

Pine also talked about Benedict Cumberbatch and how his villain brings out the best qualities in Kirk’s journey.
While promoting his upcoming movie People Like Us, Star Trek sequel co-writer producer Alex Kurtzman has also been talking Trek, revealing that crew of USS Enterprise is still on their journey to becoming the bridge crew we knew. He also talks about the ‘magnetic’ performance of Benedict Cumberbatch. Excerpts below
