How I wish there was more progress on the Star Trek sequel ah well I just have to watch all the TOS episodes to stop making me impatient

Cool, my wife would have LOVED to be there. These two guys have produced most of her favorite shows in the last 15 years.

Would you mind explaining WHO Joss Whedon is? I’ve never heard of him. I know all about JJ, though! : )

4. Lori - July 26, 2010

Joss Whedon is a writer, director, and the creator of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, and Dollhouse.

More Whedon? He’s so boring.

6. TheSchlaack - July 26, 2010

He wouldn’t be so boring if he just made more Firefly! Even though I know it’s not his fault, I blame him completely just because I enjoy being irrational.

4.

OK, I missed ALL of those! : ) But thanks for the info!

Also, Joss Whedon is largely credited with shaping Toy Story when that was in trouble. He came in for a short time, reworked the script, and crucially changed the emphasis of Woody from bully to put-upon leader, and the rest is history.

Folks like Andrew Stanton (Wall-E, Finding Nemo) credit Whedon with essentially schooling them all very quickly.

Joss also did re-writes on the original X-Men movie.

I am not a big fan of either of these two.

11. captain_neill - July 27, 2010

But either though I am not a fan I will admit I did like Abrams Star Trek movie despite the changes.

I guess I find these two ‘visionaries’ very over rated

#8: He did the same for the movie “Speed”. Most of the dialogue and several of the characters are his. Unfortunately he was arbitrated off the credits for the movie.

#9: He did a complete draft which was tossed out with the exception of 2 lines.
