SUNDAY

one more fun panel

2:30-4:00 Starship Smackdown Ultimate Episode 4: The Final Showdown
A Comic-Con favorite returns with ships, aliens, computers, and robots, oh my! The original Starship Smackdown is back in San Diego and it’s never been smackier (or snarkier). Watch as the Enterprise battles Gort, Robby the Robot goes mano e mano with Hal 9000, and Death Star does the Klingon Empire. It’s the ultimate conflagration for the supreme winner of Starship Smackdown. This time it’s war, with an expert panel of spaceship-ologists, including Robert Meyer Burnett (director, Free Enterprise), Chris Gossett (creator, The Red Star), Steve Melching (writer, Star Wars: Clone Wars, X-Men Animated, The Batman), Daren Dochterman (Hollywood conceptual designer on Get Smart, X2, Master & Commander), Jeff Bond (editor, Geek Monthly), and the Richard Dawson of the stars, moderator Mark A. Altman (producer, DOA: Dead Or Alive). It’s Starship Smackdown, Robot Rumble, Alien Armageddon, and Computer Crashdown all in one 90-minute panel! Our prediction for the fight: pain! Room 2

ALL WEEKEND

Lightspeed Fine Arts Inc. will have LeVar Burton, Marina Sirtis, John de Lancie, Cirroc Lofton and Garrett Wang available at various times, check out lightspeedfineart.com for more info

TREK ALUMNI

A number of Trek alumni like Manny Coto (24) and Ira Behr (4400) and many more will be attending for the current projects. STARTREK.COM have a good breakdown of those events.

TrekMovie.com…only indepdent Trek site reporting from Comic Con

TrekMovie.com will be the only Trek site besides the official site attending and reporting from comic con. Keep coming here all weekend for reports, thoughts, pics and maybe some video. Traffic is expected to be heavy so I would not be surprised if there were some downtimes, but keep trying!

cool – all the important info tomorrow then….

Go Anthony! Wish I could go too! And uh, First, for once.

So, you’ve got a two-hour window to get the reporting from the Paramount presentation online before your panel, Anthony? ;)

nice try

excellent stuff.

Will there be videos of the events, or just reports?

Will someone please ask the Okudas if they’re going to come out with another edition of the Star Trek Chronology.

#5: “Maybe I will bring my laptop on stage during the Geek presentation!”

Seems that WIFI-ing with your laptop would be *perfect* for a “geek presentation.”

Cool! I’ll be glued to my keyboard. (Because I’m a sloppy eater and should really clean it.)

So, us on the Right Coast will be hearing something around 7:00 PM EDT?

#12

Good luck Anthony and have fun!

1000 qatloos on {FILL IN THE BLANK]

Conventions. Conventioneers.

Oh, man…

It’s like Geek Christmas Eve… will it be coal or candy in the stockings???

Hope you have a great time, Anthony!

Have a good time Anthony, and don’t forget to bring a camera for all the posters and stuff they might show there….

Take Care Anthony. We’ll be with you in spirit. Appreciate what you’re doing for the rest of us.

#18-

What might that be, if I may be so bold?

Whatever IT is, might I suggest you do IT for yourself instead?

Yeah, I’d just call it in. Just be sure to call it in as soon as you get the news about the next Trek movie. Your readers are counting on you chief.

Good luck Anthony, can’t wait to hear any news! :-)

I await by the screen with baited…..breath?

And if Anthony needs any help taking one for the team by going to San Diego and getting first news about Trek from Abrams and company, I shall bravely volunteer.

Please find out if the Trek remastered team is going to go back and do more SFX for the DVD releases. When will the original Trek be available in 16X9????

Thanks!!

^ Agreed, have been hoping to find out about the early eps for sure. I know (Matt, I think?) said he didn’t believe they had but I would like to know, hoped with there presentation it might be answered.

Anyway I also eagerly await any news you get from the con, have fun!

Anthony, and others that will be attending, have a great time! I look forward to the con reports.

Yeeee! Less than a day away from the announcements. I can’t wait. Seriously, I’m nearly as excited about this as I would be if I was actually going to see the actual movie tomorrow. I love casting announcements. Call me crazy.

Obviously, they’re going to officially announce Quinto as Spock. There’s no reason to doubt the recent reports about his being cast. I even have a page for Quinto on stand-by at Memory Alpha. (You can see it for yourself – just do a search for “User:Shran/Zachary Quinto”. Not sure if it’ll allow me to post links on here, but I’ll add one all the same: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/User:Shran/Zachary_Quinto)

Quinto is supposed to be at the convention along with the rest of the Heroes cast, so it’s possible he will make an appearance with Abrams and the gang once it’s announced. I’m assuming, of course, that I’m not counting my tribbles before they reproduce. But Quinto as Spock… I have seen very little of Heroes and even I think that’s a great casting choice.

As Anthony posts his report(s), I’ll be standing by to update news and pages at Memory Alpha. So, there’s another reason I can’t wait. I know, I’m a geek, so sue me (then again, aren’t we all?)

Wow, I just realized I have no actual point to this post. Oh, well. Go on about your business, lads.

Oh, and to Anthony… have fun, and (as I already stated) I look forward to the report! :)

#27. Cool, can’t wait for more additions. Clicking the link didn’t work for me but if you add a (SPACE) after quinto it came up just in case anyone else tried. Also in the second line, the “Counter” in Counter Terrorist Unit is missing the “n”.

Awaitng news, have to check in on my lunch from work tomorrow. :)

This should be fun…

any news on the new film then?????

jesus christ i got a MAJOR hang over – at least if there was a bit of info from the comic con about XI that might take my mind of things for a bit

feel like i gonna die. I was one pissed up Trekkie last night.

#32-

Oh, really. Come on. Isn’t that a bit much?

You’ll hang on somehow, I’m thinking.

I don’t see my post from last night, but oh well..

LOST let an announcement slip before today’s ComicCon that the character of “Michael” will return in the upcoming season. Apparently today will see several announcements. I hope they all come out good!

What I said.
