April 16, 2012 (London/New York) — CBS Consumer Products and Media 10 will make London the center of the Star Trek universe with the launch of ‘DESTINATION STAR TREK LONDON’ October 19th – 21st, 2012, at the Excel Exhibition Centre. The first official Star Trek live event in the UK in 10 years offers British fans an event on their own shores and a chance to witness Star Trek history.

For the first time ever, all five captains will appear on stage together at an official Star Trek convention! The legendary William Shatner (Captain Kirk – Star Trek: The Original Series) will be joined by the UK’s Sir Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard – Star Trek: The Next Generation), Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko – Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway – Star Trek: Voyager) and Scott Bakula (Captain Archer – Star Trek: Enterprise) in the once in a lifetime event.

‘DESTINATION STAR TREK LONDON’ will welcome fans from all corners of the galaxy to see their favorite stars from Star Trek’s 45+ years of television series and films. The convention will feature guest talks, autograph opportunities, photo shoots with the stars, as well as replica sets, prop displays, future fashion shows, stunt demonstrations, costume displays, themed parties and lots more! ‘DESTINATION STAR TREK LONDON’ will also be home to UK celebrations marking the 25th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

‘DESTINATION STAR TREK LONDON’ is organized by Media 10 with Showmasters Ltd, a premiere special events company, and is supported by partners Paramount Home Entertainment (UK), CBS Action (UK) and Star Trek The Official Magazine.

“The Star Trek fan base in the UK is one of the biggest in the world and it has waited a long time for the convention to return, so we wanted to make sure we did it right,” said Liz Kalodner, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products. “In Media 10, we have a great partner with experience putting on amazing live shows, and ‘DESTINATION STAR TREK LONDON’ is destined to join many other CBS properties that have been transformed into vital fan destinations.”

“We are thrilled to be working with one of the biggest brands in the world in the shape of Star Trek,” says Suzy Pallett of Media 10, “We are busy lining up an incredible schedule and Star Trek London promises to be an unmissable event!”

Vegas for August then London
That makes 2012

6. T'Cal - April 16, 2012

Great compilation photo on the poster with each Captain in their unique uniform! I hate it when they combine movie images with ones from the series. Wish I was in England for this…

7. Lt. Bailey - April 16, 2012

I wish Creations could get all 5 Cpts for Las Vegas, I cannot recall that ever happening there. We would love to go, but we are getting back from our Disney Cruise the Sunday before and it is just too much travel time that close together.
Good luck to those who go!

8. AJ - April 16, 2012

Keep Avery Brooks away from the pubs.

9. I'm Dead Jim! - April 16, 2012

Being that four out of the five are from North America, it would seem easier or just as much so to pull this off in the US. Make it so, puh-leaze!

10. CAPT KRUNCH - April 16, 2012

This would be so awesome to get to see… I guess they all stay at Sir Patrick’s castle!

11. ST:EXP - April 16, 2012

I don’t understand. Is this also a permanent venue? Or is it all a setup for just one single event???

12. Phil da Gooner - April 16, 2012

Bought my tickets today!!

13. karanadon - April 16, 2012

#11 – Sounds like a setup for a single event.

I’m definitely going – look forward to seeing some of you there too! :D Finally, something for UK fans! I don’t remember us getting anything like this in recent memory. Thank you so much, CBS and Paramount!

14. Shannon Nutt - April 16, 2012

The advert doesn’t say they’ll all be on stage TOGETHER, although all the PR I’ve seen for this suggests they will be. There was a recent convention (last year?) where Shatner, Mulgrew and Stewart were all on stage at the same time.

15. Nemesis4909 - April 16, 2012

What does it mean by 3 day event access for £50 if that doesn’t include the talks? It’s all very vague. Can anyone shed any light?

16. SFC3 - April 16, 2012

#8 oh please, would you say that if you were a actor probably struggling to find work and depressed

17. Orb of the Emissary - April 16, 2012

I so wish I could be there for this event!! :-(

18. Bruce Banner - April 16, 2012

@15 You have to know the password to get into the talks….psst….its Scruffy Nerfherder.

19. Dr. Cheis - April 16, 2012

They’re missing one captain, IMO.

20. Paul - April 16, 2012

I am so going

21. Christopher Roberts - April 16, 2012

It would be great publicity if there were a Region 2 release of Bill Shatner’s Captains docu-film.

Currently I think it’s unavailable here in Britain. If anybody else was like me, they had to import it from the States. The DVD proved region-free though, as I found out when I tested on a mate’s unmodifyed player.

22. Shilliam Watner - April 16, 2012

No Chris Pine?

23. Magic_Al - April 16, 2012

You know who should introduce them? Geneviève Bujold.

24. Eye - April 16, 2012

Pine? Why bother? He played a Trek captain for all of three minutes…so far. :)

25. 790 - April 16, 2012

Oh man I so wish I could be there!!!

26. Buzz Cagney - April 16, 2012

London really is the place this year. First the Olympics, the the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations, then Starfleet come’s to town.

27. Greenberg - April 17, 2012

Woah, they almost managed to make Janeway look feminine in that picture!

It’s too bad Jeffrey Hunter isn’t there.

28. captain_neill - April 17, 2012

To get all the benefits of the con It looks like the price will be £300 approx and £600 if you go platinum.

I would really love to go but not sure I can afford it at the moment. Plus I have already met the five captains previously at Vegas.

29. Radioactive Spock - April 17, 2012

I’m in the US but I’m scheduled to be in Birmingham on business Oct. 24th…. Might just have to fly in early to London and make my way to Birmingham after. Once in a lifetime opportunity!

30. phil - April 17, 2012

are there any St cons coming to Phoenix, Az?

31. Ned Kelly - April 17, 2012

Doh! I knew there would be a reason why I shouldn’t have emigrated to Australia!

32. Ziro - April 17, 2012

Hope they can get Pine and release a DVD of the captains talk

33. Spacecadet - April 17, 2012

Paramount does not know the HEART and ENTHUIASM of the fans. They just know how much money they get.

34. Red Dead Ryan - April 17, 2012

Paramount’s objective is to make money. Not to make us happy.

35. RuPaulForPresident - April 20, 2012

Anyone want to go to Britain with me? I’m TOTALLY GOING!!!

36. HarryDog - April 21, 2012

Got my ticket for the Saturday – so looking forward to it.

37. DS9 IN PRIME TIME - April 22, 2012

wish i could make that. That will be eppic!!

38. Matzukado - April 25, 2012

Oh ye gads. If i wasn’t a broke student I would go :( I’ve always wanted to go to a convention. Here’s hoping they’ll make a trend out of this!

39. captain_neill - April 27, 2012

I would really love to go but I could not afford to go to it.
