Skipping this one

2. crazydaystrom - May 18, 2012

Yeah, doesn’t grab me, AT ALL. Recently saw Columbiana on satellite. It was so-so. But I would’ve been pissed if I’d taken the time and paid bucks to see it at a theater.

3. Jeyl - May 18, 2012

Saw this preview at a Regal Cinemas First Look. Not grabbing me in the slightest.

The funniest part of the preview was when Zoe Saldana actually talked about her character. All she said was “He’s the most important thing to her” and nothing else. Zoe, your character and the film fails the Bechdel Test with flying colors.

what’s it called?

5. shpock - May 18, 2012

there we go!

6. saavik001 - May 18, 2012

Looks good to me… Lots of great actors in it.

7. DS9 IN PRIME TIME - May 18, 2012

Im going to give it a chance! I liked the music and i like the actors.

8. VZX - May 18, 2012

Yeah, looks like a skip for me as well. I’ll rent it at Redbox, though.

9. Red Dead Ryan - May 18, 2012

Looks like straight-to-dvd crap!

10. Commodore Mike of the Terran Empire - May 18, 2012

Look’s like something better seen on Netflix.

11. Servant Warrior - May 18, 2012

Looks really interesting, actually. I, too, like the cast. Sounds like a good one for date night with the Mrs.

12. Basement Blogger - May 18, 2012

It looks interesting. Fascinating cast. Just remember that indie films can get Oscar love. Recall the excellent “Little Miss Sunshine” and “The Kids Are All Right.”

13. Vultan - May 18, 2012

Not a good sign when you fall asleep halfway through the synopsis.

14. AJ - May 18, 2012

Yuck.

Jeremy Irons needs a good super-evil role to sink his teeth into.

Khan?

15. Punkspocker - May 18, 2012

Zoe is gorgeous! You go! Not my kind of film, sorry

16. Landru's cousin, Dandru - May 18, 2012

I’ll also be skipping it. She’s beautiful… but not a very good actor.

17. MJ - May 18, 2012

formulaic crap.

18. Spock/Uhura Admirer ;-) - May 18, 2012

I think it might be good, so I’m going to try it. I like the actors as well. I’ve personally never seen Jeremy Irons in anything I didn’t like. He tends to do the deep stuff, and he’s good at it.

As far as formulas go, that’s most movies – even the high-grossing and/ or good ones. So the fact that it may be following a formula shouldn’t be a deterrant.

@#13

No it’s not a good sign at all. If you’re falling asleep within the span of 2 minutes and 40 seconds for the trailer, and reading the synopsis takes even less time than that, then it could be mild narcolepsy? I suggest a doctor. :-/

19. Mel - May 18, 2012

Nope. I definitely won’t watch it in the cinema.

20. Spock/Uhura Admirer ;-) - May 19, 2012

I just find it interesting that people have such intense opinions about a movie they can’t know that much about. “Doesn’t look like my cup of tea,” I can understand, but the rest of the comments… But then it’s a Zoe movie, so… :-/

21. Charlescharles - May 19, 2012

Meh

22. PEB - May 20, 2012

@20 EXACTLY

some of the comments give me a laugh here. i’ll just say that. Everyone has an oppinion and a way to express them but seriously…

23. chrisfawkes.com - May 21, 2012

Looks good. Bradly Cooper is always good and seeing Zoe Saldana for 2 hours alone is worth it.
