The new and original Spock are here in San Diego. Paramount panel just started and JJ Abrams and Star Trek will not be upfor a while. There is also a new teaser poster.More soon. (reporting via iPhone)

I have just seen the new poster– I love the full-on retro look! I really appreciate Abrams’ embracing of the 60’s style thus far. Let’s see what he comes up with next.

Where’s old JJ at? I’m waiting for him to show up long enoughto explain why [if it’s true] Shatner’s not involved in this film. Screw everything else. What he says, that alone will sink or float this new boat.
The movies success or failure does not depend on Shatner appearing.

Well the poster is certainly promising. Another sign that they’ll be embracing the style of the original series rather than any feared “reboot” type thing.
