SkyShowtime bringing original Star Trek to the rest of Europe
Today, SkyShowtime launched in Albania, Czechia, Hungary, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. The launch of the service in Spain and Andorra on February 28 will complete SkyShowtime’s roll-out. The streaming service is already available in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, Portugal, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia.
Here is the Romanian launch trailer…
SkyShowtime is a joint venture between Comcast and Paramount Global, offering a selection of movies, shows, and original series from Paramount Pictures, Dreamworks, Showtime, Paramount+, Sky, Universal Pictures, and Peacock. This includes Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Prodigy. In the European markets without Paramount+ (available in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy), SkyShowtime is the only way to watch Prodigy and Strange New Worlds. Unfortunately, as of now, SkyShowtime does not offer Discovery. The service does include all seven seasons of The Next Generation and a selection of Star Trek movies. Lower Decks and Picard is available in many of these European markets on Amazon Prime Video.
Strange New Worlds stars Ethan Peck and Rebecca Romijn were on hand for the SkyShowtime launch event in Amsterdam last November…
SkyShowtime is available via the website www.skyshowtime.com and via the SkyShowtime app on Apple iOS, tvOS, Android devices, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG TV, and Samsung Smart TVs.
