The third Trek comic released today launches a brand new series from IDW, a spinoff from their ongoing Star Trek flagship series. Calling it “The Dirty Dozen meets Star Trek” the series focuses on Worf leading a new crew on the USS Defiant. The Star Trek: Defiant series is written by Chris Cantwell (Iron Man, Namor, Star Wars: Obi-Wan) and drawn by Angel Unzueta (Iron Man, Star Wars: Poe Dameron, The Flash). Synopsis:
Someone is killing the gods. But Benjamin Sisko’s Prophets-guided dealings of the higher cosmos has led him to forget about the very real casualties on lower ground. The enemy is a MAN, not a god. Nice twist that Ro has the original Bajoran nose ridges she debuted with (note the little ridge at the base of her forehead, separate from the nasal ones) rather than the DS9 ones.
