Tomorrow the ongoing Star Trek: Defiant series from IDW picks up with its second arc, following the recently concluded “Day of Blood” crossover event.  The Defiant series is written by Chris Cantwell (Iron Man, Namor, Star Wars: Obi-Wan) and drawn by Angel Unzueta (Iron Man, Star Wars: Poe Dameron, The Flash). We have a 5-page preview and all the covers for issue 8.

Are we sure that some of this art isn’t AI-generated?

….that Word/ Uncle Sam one especially. It’s a fun concept very poorly executed.

Knowing what happens to Worf by the time of Picard makes these stories kind of irevilent

I’m a fan of the IDW comics but I have to admit that this is some of the worst art I’ve seen on Star Trek in years. Every cover is terrible except for Unzueta’s. The Uncle Sam one looks like it’s AI-generated, and if so shame on IDW for doing that. And the interior art looks incredibly amateurish like a teenager drew it. What’s going on here? IDW is better than this.
