‘New’ Star Trek Location Photos Discovered October 18, 2008

by TrekMovie.com Staff , Filed under: Star Trek (2009 film) , trackback

Back in February we reported when a local traffic helicopter flew over location shooting for the Star Trek movie, which was followed up soon after by some paparazzi photos. Apparently there were more photos from that shoot online since February, but were only just discovered by a German Trek site, and it looks like these are all related to one of the new official images released by Paramount

The ‘new’ photos are at OnLocationNews.com and there is a set of ten photos. There isn’t much new info there, but some different angle, except you can see Chris Pine at the location (TrekMovie reported he was there, but there were no images seen of him until now). There is also some kind of cut-out for a creature (likely to be put in with CGI). OnLocationNews charges for full size images, but you can look at thumbnails and watermarked images at the site.

The images and video from last February show an icy location with Kirk (Chris Pine). Just this week Paramount officially released an image of Kirk (Chris Pine) climbing out of some kind of pod in an icy location.

Marvelous and doesn’t Chris Pin e look the business as Kirk or what?

2. Jordan - October 18, 2008

“Star Track”

Makes my blood boil.

3. braxus - October 18, 2008

Interesting.

4. Michael Adams - October 18, 2008

Looks like the Kelvin. Hope we get another starship crash.

5. Paul-Fitz - October 18, 2008

It says 1701, on that escape pod? Mini-shuttle? Barrell thing…

A disaster which is to be averted by an older Spock perhapse?

6. Hector - October 18, 2008

LOL – I forgot about that Star Track news clip. Moronic news reporter.

7. mm3guy - October 18, 2008

Photolicious!

8. ety3 - October 18, 2008

What is that thing? A wampa?

9. Capt Mike From the Terran Empire - October 18, 2008

Hey that looks so Kool. (No pun intended)this should be a fantastic and great Adventure. The Escape pod looks kool and I can’t wait to see why it was launched.

10. Fortyseven - October 18, 2008

Is it’s possible his “track” pronunciation is really just because of an accent?

11. Fortyseven - October 18, 2008

And what the HELL is this? :D

12. ety3 - October 18, 2008

#11 –

Like I said, a wampa, I guess.

13. Canonfornication - October 18, 2008

ice planet

falling pods

big creatures

maybe Kirk lands on Hoth

14. Enterprise - October 18, 2008

Oooh, does Kirk wrestle a Mugato?

15. Jorg Sacul - October 18, 2008

no, it’s obvious he lands in SASQUATCHawan!

(sorry, slow news day…)

16. Steven - October 18, 2008

I hope Abrams isn’t taking a page from “Empire” with this scene. Hope it’s an original creature.

17. Spock's Brain - October 18, 2008

Mugatu rocks!!!

18. navamske - October 18, 2008

What’s Kirk doing in the Fortress of Solitude?

19. Pirate Palin - Plunder your Oil - October 18, 2008

Will Kirk make a Hoth referance??

20. The TOS Purist aka The Purolator - October 18, 2008

What I want to know is – what are those snowball things with the wiry legs sticking out of them? “Snowball-Spiders?” Check the 7th picture to see what I mean…

[FYI TrekMovie...there are ten pictures total, not eight :) ]

21. Kirk's Girdle - October 18, 2008

It’s a one-man pod and Kirk has a big pack on his back, so it looks like he is on a specific mission there.

22. Kirk's Girdle - October 18, 2008

Oh yeah, that cutout can’t be good.

23. Mark T. - October 18, 2008

#10- No its not an accent. I live in L.A. and avoid Fox 11 at all costs. It is the most uninformed news station in the area. Very “lowest common denominator” sort of station. Caters to the sort of people who don’t read and so can’t tell the difference between track and trek.

24. Dave - October 18, 2008

Impressive…….most impressive

25. Tim Lade - October 18, 2008

clearly an escape pod.

26. Rat Boy - October 18, 2008

” 8. ety3 – October 18, 2008

What is that thing? A wampa?”

Where’s a lightsaber when you need one?

27. Izbot - October 18, 2008

Too bad they opted for a redressed California location rather than Iceland where they were reportedly considering. Star Trek has yet to do a location shoot outside the state of California — with the exception of a brief long-distance scene filmed on a glacier in Alaska for Trek 6 using stand-ins for Kirk, McCoy and Martia.

28. Third Remata'Klan - October 18, 2008

Aw, the cutout doesn’t NECESSARILY mean anything.

Maybe they want us to THINK it’s a wampa….

They’re throwing us off the scent!

Or, yeah, maybe J.J. really IS getting is Star Wars freak on….

29. MORN SPEAKS - October 18, 2008

I’m sooo stoked that Trek is going to be a little more like Star Wars. Yet, I only mean that in the grandness and epic scale of it. Trek never really needed any sort of treatment like that because the stories were always so great, BUT to see cool space battles (i.e. DS), space monsters, big name actors, and big promotions make me giddy with joy!!!!

30. Canonfornication - October 18, 2008

i hope there will be a couple of Star Wars references in the movie

maybe even a Harrison Ford cameo as an Admiral or a star wars alien or a line reference

31. MORN SPEAKS - October 18, 2008

I meant to put DS9 in parenthesis, and while I’m on it, it’ll be cool not to see so much stock footage from other awesome battles!

32. shat hands - October 18, 2008

That news guy is soooo irritating

33. Jim Nightshade - October 18, 2008

Does anyone know when that Entertainment Weekly with Star TRACK on it hahah will be in the stores…I just rushed to the stores and a magazine with yesterdays friday date on it is not it must be the previous weeks so when does NEXT weeks with star trek on it go on sale darnit!

34. THX-1138 - October 18, 2008

Did that guy call the Enterprise the “Star TRACK Enterprise”?

It’s a starSHIP, not a Star TRACK.

35. Enterprise - October 18, 2008

Kirk and Superman team up in the movie.

36. AJ - October 18, 2008

35

Kal-El: “I am Kal-El! Superman! What business do you have in my fortress…my fortess of..solitude?”

Kirk: “Carl? Let’s get one thing straight. You are an alien on my home planet. Face it , dude. I’m gonna bring you down!”

Kal-El: “You will do no such thing! I grew up in Kansas! I am the son of Jor-El!

Spock: “If we channel our phasers through this green rock from Krypton, the hostile should be quite adequately, shall we say….neutralized.”

Kirk (yawn): “Fire phasers”

Superman dies.

McCoy: “God, I feel terrible.”

Kirk: “Bones? F*ck Superman.” Dump his body, write a report, and let’s go on to our next mission.”

LOL. :D

41. Kyle Nin - October 18, 2008

It’s either an escape pod or a torpedo. Is there enough room in a torpedo for a person to lay in?

42. Boulderdash - October 18, 2008

#40 – ask Spock!!

43. Enterprise - October 18, 2008

Or Worf’s girlfriend.

44. Izbot - October 18, 2008

40. Kyle Nin –
“It’s either an escape pod or a torpedo. Is there enough room in a torpedo for a person to lay in?”

My guess is it’s an Enterprise escape pod. Doesn’t make any sense to print “NCC-1701″ on a photo torpedo tube.

45. Enterprise - October 18, 2008

It’s a teeny tiny shuttle.

46. S. John Ross - October 18, 2008

My favorite part about Star Track is when they kill Dark Vader.

47. ThePhaige - October 18, 2008

#43: I’m pretty sure torpedoes had “NCC-1701″ all over them in STII & VI. I could be wrong though.

48. Wastedbeerz –
“#43: I’m pretty sure torpedoes had “NCC-1701″ all over them in STII & VI. I could be wrong though.”

They sometimes had a model number on them (like “Mark IV”) but nothing stating their place of origin. Would that make any sense? Does the navy paint the name of its’ vessels on each and every cannon shell?

51. Harry Ballz - October 18, 2008

#49
“Does the navy paint the name of it’s vessels on each and every cannon shell?”

Get the pronunciation right, willya? That’s WESSELS!

52. Enterprise - October 18, 2008

Due to the changed tine line, the Enterprise is now a tiny shuttle.

53. Mr. AtoZ - October 18, 2008

Part of the fun of reading this is in what everyone writes, awesome.

54. Baroner - October 18, 2008

In the future, humans are tiny beings compared to a newly discovery race of Gulliver-like creatures. Kirk barely escaped from one of their suppositories. What appears to be “NCC 1701″ is actually just coincidentally smeared feces from one of the Gulliver giants.

55. Thorny - October 18, 2008

49… “I’m pretty sure torpedoes had “NCC-1701″ all over them in STII & VI. I could be wrong though.”

Nope, just “Mark VI Torpedo”.

56. JR - October 18, 2008

I wander which pod shatner was in?

57. Wastedbeerz - October 18, 2008

I guess I’m wrong, LOL… at least they didn’t go as far as to name every torpedo.

58. AJ - October 18, 2008

They don’t “name” torpedoes.

“You…you shall be Frodo….Frodo the torpedo. And you….you can be Sam…”

59. Kuvagh - October 18, 2008

I wonder why people in the 23rd century would spray paint the registry numbers onto torps/pods (above, yellow) and shuttles (older spy pic) by using a stencil like the military of olden times. There must be a reason, because I heard the new art department is the first which understands how to portray the future in a manner which is convincing to today’s audience!

Alright, I’ll justify it in the same post. Typefaces resonate. The historical implications of a faux-stencil typeface can serve to reinforce the paramilitary nature of a Starfleet torpedo/pod/shuttle, thus differentiating it from a civilian science probe or passenger transport at a glance.

Yikes, that was a close one! ;)

60. Enterprise - October 19, 2008

Wouldn’t it freak everyone out if one of the pics has the Guardian of Forever in it?

61. Rickroll'd. - October 19, 2008

It can’t be a torpedo, it has a seat on the inside, complete with harnesses and everything…

62. Sarah - October 19, 2008

Well, about Chris Pine as a young Kirk, he is the actor in that new cast that interests me the least. Maybe that’s because they made the mistake to cast the typical young actor beau. Personally I’m not too fond of Bill Shatner but Shatner had spunk. My god had he spunk. And he was charismatic back in his day. Well, Chris Pine is not. I don’t even think he’s very intelligent. Every statement he’s made so far supports that first impression.

Chris Pine is absolutely perfect looking, just beautiful… And that is that.

Otherwise he’s BORING. I can see him on a Calvin Klein poster in tight boxers promoting perfume for the metrosexual. I can’t see him as Captain of the USS Enterprise. Sorry. He’s a pretty boy. He’s got no authority, no character. He isn’t even manly. Just no magic there.

I hope the movie is going to focus on Spock a lot more than on Kirk and that we’re going to see a lot of good stuff from the whole Cast. For a change I’d really like to see the Cast as a whole act. Maybe it’s good, after all, that they did cast Pine. He is certainly not going to dominate that movie.

I think this movie could be very good if Kirk’s part gets the right size. So that we get to see more of a very intersting supporting Cast. I like the idea of Spock as the leading act. And I do adore the way Sulu and Scotty come across in the pictures. McCoy was … bewildering at best. But who knows maybe he still works out in the movie.

The bridge set was super fantastic at first sight… but Uhura’s station is confusing me. It looks so out of place… Is that on purpose? I hope it appears better from a different angle.

Hm all in all, I can’t wait to see that movie though.

63. The Last Maquis - October 19, 2008

No the News clip was for The Next “STAR TRACK” movie Not Star trek.

64. Engon - October 19, 2008

Well, he’s free climbing, so it must be Kirk. Maybe there’s an American Saddlebred horse waiting for him at the top of the cliff.

65. joe1306 - October 19, 2008

a Gorn?

66. Phil - October 19, 2008

Star Track errrrrrrrrr Whats that?

67. Alec - October 19, 2008

Regarding ‘that’ alien. The cut-out doesn’t resemble a Mugato. Remember: these creatures have a great big horn protruding from their heads. Also, do Mugato live in icy locations? From what I recall, that wasn’t the case in ‘A Private Little War’. The cut-out reminds me more of the salt creature from ‘The Man Trap’. However, again, I cannot explain the ice. I think this may be an entirely new creature that JJ has commissioned. Personally, I hope that they stick with the distinctive Mugato: a new ice monster is, inevitably, going to resemble a Wampa (different franchise), which could signal a lack of vision, faithfulness, and imagination on the part of the filmmakers. Perhaps a Mugato is ‘supposed’ to live on an ice-planet; but that was beyond the budget of the original show.

Regarding why Kirk is even on an ice planet in the first place, in what looks like an escape pod, I can only assume that his intention was to escape from danger. Wild Guess: Perhaps Nero comes from the future, with his superior ship, and destroys the Enterprise. Then, after managing to flee in an escape pod, Kirk manages to do some ‘magic’ and corrects the time-line; thereby restoring the natural chronology; and, in so doing, his ship and the lives of his crew. Whatever happens with this time-line mumbo-jumbo, I pray that it doesn’t undermine the existing franchise. I don’t want a ‘Dallas’ story, where TOS and the subsequent films are reduced to the status of a dream; or some other insignificance. But that’s just my thoughts.

68. T.J. - October 19, 2008

The trailor for this movie leads one to believe that the Enterprise is being “constructed”. If this is true, then the whole Star Trek story line is toast! Kirk took over the Enterprise from Capt. Pike. He was not the orignal Capt.

69. Schultz - October 19, 2008

“Star Track”. LOL. Fox Noise! ;)

70. AJ - October 19, 2008

Shatner had spunk. Lots of it.

Just discussed “spunk” with Harry in CHAT late last night.

Not a great conversation, to be sure, but if even a sliver of one’s brain is in the gutter, the mention of ’spunk’ is surely grist for the mill.

And I must apologize to our European friends, who may not understand the word “grist.”

I’ll get around to it.

71. Decker's Stubble - October 19, 2008

That “pod” looks a lot like my cell phone. Inside there even looks like a spot to put the SIM card.

Maybe the Romulans hit Kirk with the a shrink ray and encased him in a cell phone and placed it in an ice cube tray. Scotty is about to grabs some rocks for his bourbon and Pine is screaming, “Nooooooooo!”

72. Devon - October 19, 2008

#62 – Sarah… just curious, when did you get to see Chris Pine in the new film? I didn’t realize they had let “fans” see the new film yet.

73. Devon - October 19, 2008

#68 – T.J., you have NOT done any research about this film have you? Do you realize Captain Pike is a character portrayed by Bruce Greenwood? Can you show us some concrete evidence where it says Kirk was taking over the Enterprise as the first Captain in the film?

No, because you assumed.

74. Devon - October 19, 2008

#68 – Sorry, jumped the gun a little because I slightly misread it to say that you thought Kirk was the first capt in the new film, but it still stands that you would have to assume such a thing first. All it takes is quick research..

75. mat - October 19, 2008

lokks like a torpedo or probe to me

76. Kirk's Girdle - October 19, 2008

Pine was hilarious in “Smoking Aces”, and he was ugly.

77. Devon - October 19, 2008

There looks like there is a seat in it which leads me to believe it’s an escape pod or something.

78. Kirk's Girdle - October 19, 2008

#68 The trailer was likely stand alone and those events as shown may not even appear in the film, but if they do, it should be noted that the film will span several time periods – with excerts from the childhoods of both Spock and Kirk, into adademy days and whatever adventure awaits. As mentioned above, Pike is the Captain in this film and Kirk is not.

80. subatoi - October 19, 2008

Back to the bridge issue (I wrote it in the 830+ item, but I guess nobody reads there anymore) –
1. Orci/Kurtzman said in an interview that when we’ll see the entire bridge, it will look more similar.
2. Orci didn’t react to the bridge issue here (as far as I’ve read the 47 milion comments), so I guess there is somthing to be said about that but he doesn’t want to.
3. I still remember that quote of his, that “everything you’ll see that will look strange, will be canon driven” (or whatever the quote was).

Let’s hope!
“Optimism, Captain!”

81. Izbot - October 19, 2008

79. Ler –
“#27 -

True enough, I stand corrected on that one. But I can’t think of any other instances. Desert scenes in Trek 5 and Generations were in California near Death Valley, I think. Baku village was obviously California.

82. Captain Christopher Pike - October 19, 2008

“I hope Abrams isn’t taking a page from “Empire” with this scene.”

Your kidding right:? Kirk not the main character? Less screen time….wow things have changed. Personally I want to see what makes the guy tick. If Kirk, Spock and McCoy have equal time that’s okay by me. Becuase I feel they ARE Star Trek! But Kirk needs to be a drvining force. He is still a hero in some of our eyes

90. Sarah - October 20, 2008

@72. Devon

I see him in the screenshots and in interviews and that does give me a fair fist impression since I’m not blind, blank or too dumb to form an opinion, thank you very much. Am I allowed to having an opinion? I hope so. Then, please, let me explain my point of view. Well, Chris Pine is a type of man. And he is not a Kirk type. Don’t get me wrong. I do love his looks, I don’t object his nice, flawless prettyboy image. But I don’t see a Captain figure when I look at him. Well, either that means they did bad casting or it means that James T. Kirk went through a miraculous transition before he became Captain of the Enterprise. Hey, I’m open for anything.

Surprise me, movie guys. But it’s going to be a tough job with that Captain. I’m not getting warm with him yet. I’m not saying I never will, I’m only stating it didn’t happen yet. Well, I wonder how he will come across in the movie though.

91. Sarah - October 20, 2008

@86. Klang3

A driving force? Yes he should be that alright. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that there can’t be equality with his fellowship, his leading officers. There should be more equality now then there was before, in the 60s. Or are we still so racist and sexist that we don’t want to see Uhura do anything else but say Hailing frequencies open Captain? I want to see a cast ensemble. I don’t want to see a one man show any longer. They give us that and Star Trek is dead. It was never meant to be a one man show in the first place. Kirk was supposed to be the hero, the guy that draws the audience in. Alright. He wasn’t meant to kick it off alone though. And Gene Roddenberry always dreamed of a multinational cast where everybody would be able to shine in the lime-light. That was his dream, I understand. Why not let it finally come true?

Are we still such a limited mankind that we can’t let that happen? Then I’m sorry for bringing the matter up. I thought I was sharing with better humans. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe we still live among an ideology of hatred.

92. Sarah - October 20, 2008

@91

It also wasn’t meant to be a 3 men show. That’s what the media made of it. It was originally written for 7 great characters. And seven great characters I want to see, in that movie. Not more, not less. I want to see what Gene Roddenberry had meant to show to the world before NBC got their greedy hooks into it and tore the show down to a more “profitable” and a more “commercial” piece of business case Star Trek.

If this is going to be another business case Star Trek, because Hollywood still didn’t learn it’s lesson then I give up hope, I think.

93. Engon - October 20, 2008

Yes, and I want to see a version of “Hamlet” where Osric gets equal time! It’s been 500 years, for Pete’s sake!

94. T.J. - October 20, 2008

Sarah…sorry to burst your bubble, but whenever Hollywood tries to do do anything with something so popular, it is always a disappoint!

95. Harry Ballz - October 20, 2008

Yeah, just look at all the years we waited for Superman Returns and what did we get? The same tired Lex Luthor wanting land crap, a boring plotline and a Lois Lane who was far too young! Brandon Routh was great as Superman, so, if anything, keep him and dump everything else!

96. fakesteve - October 20, 2008

The good thing about the “Kirk on ice” image is, it shows that star fleet uniforms are still perfect for all climates… from the bridge down to the surface in the black shirt! I ust wonder what these dark stripes abve the knees on the pants are… just design, or functional?

97. fakesteve - October 20, 2008

If you rotate the image you can see how the pod works… the NCC 1701 type is the top of the capsule, and the silver thingy at the bottom of the seat are footrests. I guess this is no refitted torpedo but a real Enterprise escape pod that is ejected like a polaris rocket starts from a sub.

98. ByGeorge - October 20, 2008

#92

Sarah – I think Hollywood has learned it’s lessons and that includes giving the fans what they want. Trek started off as a show with one main star – Kirk, a couple of co-stars and a few supporting characters. As the show progressed, the character of Spock became popular so they gave him more air time. Same with McCoy. If there is demand for seeing more of a character the studio usually give the character more air time because it wants to make lots of that “evil” thing called money.

Gene Roddenberry liked that “evil” money as much as that “evil” NBC – ask the estate of Alexander Courage where half of the Royalties for Trek’s music are going.

Studios are not out to make movies, they are out to make money and if they don’t make money they go out of business and stop making movies altogether. The studios usually make money by giving the audience what they think will get the most people to see it, and bring in a big “evil” profit.

99. Marshall McMellon - October 20, 2008

#2- I believe that the same people who refer to Star Trek as “Star TRACK” are the same goofs who refer to The Lone Ranger as “The LONG Ranger.”

100. Marshall McMellon - October 20, 2008

Could Kirk possibly be busting someone out of a Klingon gulag (Rura Penthe). As I recall, there are a couple of Klingon prison guard characters (see cast list) and it seems that Rura Penthe (The Undiscovered Country) was rather icy .

101. Jim Nightshade - October 20, 2008

Anybody seen the new EW magazine on sale at stores yet?

I think Chris Pine will make or break the movie. His character will be the most important. Its Kirk who motivates everybody else. I heard some who saw the movie say he nails it. We hope so.

The escape pod, I liked the idea Kirk was not yet in charge….he is either arrested or detained crew quarters….He has to do things his way and so he somehow gets out and used an escape pod to get down to the planet to save the day somehow….the smile on his face as he climbs out shows smug self satisfaction with himself! HE IS KIRK!! Maybe he is a pretty boy but i think he does have spunk if this photo is any indication…

102. Klang31 - October 20, 2008

@91Sarah

Wow, you got very heated on the subject. I’m sorry if you took my comment as “racist and sexist”, (which I find offensive beyond belief. Extremely hurtful too. Considering I was raised in a multi-ethnic family with strong female figures. And perhaps it was unkind to throw “racist and sexist” my way. But I’m willing to let it go. So again I’m sorry if you misunderstood what I was trying to get across). My point was; it would just seem like too large a tonal shift for Spock to be the central character without Kirk by his side with equal screen time. Like a James Bond movie with M as the star. Then again I could be proven wrong. Oh, and I’m more then happy with all the rest of the characters to have their back stories expanded, in fact I’d LOVE it. But I still want to sit down and watch Kirk, Spock and McCoy. But that’s just me. Lets hope we all get what we want from the film. Lets hope that once the film is comes out, no longer will the trek community be separate and perhaps this film can help us restore unity.
Sarah, I wish you well.

He could of landed on the last icy spot left on earth after global warming and the creatures are mutated polar bears?

Naw, they have weather control in that time frame (but it couldn’t compensate for ST:IV I guess) so the ice is probably more than we have now.

So we’re back to some other planet. I like the “disobeying Pike’s orders” theory.

@91Sarah

Noooo! I didn’t take your comment as racist or evil! I was referring to the big broadcasting companies. And to movie business in general. The movie business is typecasting and money-greedy. And in the 60s NBC guys were a racist and sexist bunch. Ask Nichelle Nichols. She can confirm that.

Please accept my apologies. I never meant to attack you any way. I do respect your opinion. OK?

Sarah, off course. No harm done. And I agree with you, the world of the sixties isn’t one I would ever had wanted to live in. Lets hope the future brings even more change for the better

107. Jim Nightshade - October 21, 2008

OHHHH I dunno……the country world people whatever still seem pretty bigoted stupid hateful fearful you name it. In fact after 8 years of bush I think we seem to be further back than the 60s almost….

I still remember going to the LV trek convention in 2006….so many of our stars commented on how dark and evil and bad everything seems and the hope that star trek still held out that we might have a future….when it looks doubtful these days…I have not seen much of an improvement yet….Perhaps a new minority president could be the start of the better times again…we hope and pray…..

108. T.J. - October 22, 2008

Jim Nightshade… your a very sad individual. The spoiled brats of this country are going to get what they deserve if your minoirty candidate is elected. This country needs a strong man in the oval office, not a pansy who wants to talk to our enemies. And yes, we do have enemies! The pansy is one of them!

109. Sarah - October 22, 2008

@108 TJ

and with people like you your country is going on down for sure…

110. T.J. - October 23, 2008

Sarah…whatever country you are from, I am sure my country has saved your butt somewhere in history.

111. krikzil - October 23, 2008

TJ– you are the prototypical “Ugly American”

112. Harry Ballz - October 23, 2008

krikzil, don’t use big words, it’ll only confuse him!

113. krikzil - October 23, 2008

;)

114. T.J. - October 23, 2008

This coming from someone named Harry Ballz?

115. Harry Ballz - October 23, 2008

You bet, pilgrim!

116. Sarah - October 24, 2008

@110 TJ

What you mean is that your country has bombed my country in the second World War. Yeah. You’re right. Congratulations!

Your country won. Would you like to know how many lives it took? Would you like to know how many liters of blood it took. Your country had big bombs. Big deal.

Congratulations indeed. And I’m glad to see there are still people so proud of their nations great war history. My. Now I feel guilty for being on the “wrong” side. Boooh. In fact, my country was indeed on the wrong side. And we learned from history. What did you learn? I don’t mean your nation, I mean you, in particular.

TJ – What of the things that I could say to make you happy?
That you are superior?
That you are the better human?
That you are perfect and I’m dirt?
That you are American and I am not.
That you are good and I’m evil.

Doesn’t matter what I say to you. You have place for only one idea in your head. Go to hell with it. I hold that against you, personally, not against your country. A country can not be held responsible for its people.

Over and Out
Sarah

117. Sarah - October 24, 2008

Oh my, I hope that were not too many words for good ol’ TJ to read. Well, at least it was his native tongue that I used. With some luck, he will comprehend. Even if my English is better than his.

How’s that add up “somewhere in history”. eh? The advanced speaker (or typer in that case) would say “sometime in history” or “somewhere in the world”.

That goes to show where you, Sir, are coming from, in terms of brains. I’m so glad I know good American people, otherwise I’d leave this comment section with the wrong impression.

Live long and prosper anyway, TJ. I’m not the hostile type. You can slap my other cheek too if it makes you feel better. Go ahead, Redneck, the world belongs to you, doesn’t it.

118. T.J. - October 28, 2008

You should be extremely happy for the fact that this country does not own the world. We kick the shit out of our enemies and then spend a fortune to rebuild them. We don’t play by the “To the victor goes the spoils” mantra. I have served and also bled for this country. So, yes, I know what I speak of. How many people risk their lives to get into your country on a yearly basis?
Oh yes, by the way, I am a redneck and very proud of the fact! Thank you very much!
