Fandango - Star Trek: Beyond Movie Tickets

Esurance ‘Biggest Trekkie’ Video of the Week (week 3)

You have just 10 days to submit a video to the new Esurance Star Trek site explaining how you are the ‘biggest Trekkie’ and get a chance to win a trip to the premiere of Paramount’s new Star Trek movie. Each week TrekMovie picks one entry as our video of the week, check this weeks entry below [note video auto-plays after you hit ‘more’].

This week’s video pick ‘It’s A Star Trek Life’ by Renee Varin Potratz

Renee shows some creativity by having herself ‘interrogated’ for being (a prospective) Biggest Trekkie, and she uses her power for good by converting another to the flock. Show Renee the love and give his video a high rating.

Win a trip to the premiere of Star Trek – TrekMovie will help – one more chance
In order to enter the contest yourself, you must upload a video to The Biggest Trekkie Contest page at esurance.com/startrek. The winner gets a trip for 2 to the Hollywood premiere of Star Trek. Entries must be made by March 5th. The winner of the prize is selected using a number of factors, including how highly the video is rated on the Esurance site. (see Esurance site for full contest rules and eligibility).

Every week we pick one entry and profile it here, giving it a little boost, and awarding a T-Shirt to the video maker, courtesy of Esurance. (Shirts will be mailed out after the contest is over). If you want TrekMovie to consider your entry for our last ‘video of the week’ (on March 2nd), email us at tips [@] trekmovie.com with the name of your video and the name you submitted it under at the Esurance site (and the name you post under here at TrekMovie if different). NOTE: Do NOT just send us your video using the ’email’ link at the Esurance site, as that only links back to the site and specific video (so we can’t tell what video it is).

If we pick your video, you win a shirt (click to enlarge image)

Don’t miss the rest at Esurance Trek site
If you haven’t visited esurance.com/startrek, yet, then do so now. The site has a great intro video with interviews,  plus a brand new game with clues to the movie (see recent article).

Nice work Renee Varin Potratz. It all comes down to being the biggest trekkie and not the best independent film maker. I have not seen a video where I could say anyone wants the premiere tickets less than you or I do. Anyone could win. Good Luck

Dunno why, but these particular videos don’t work in my browser. The last Esurance one didn’t work either. (Using Firefox 3.0.5 on Vista Business 32-bit)

Is this promotional partnership going to end with this contest or will it continue through the movie’s release? Would be interested in seeing some more stuff including Television ads possibly. Any word?

Not bad…I think many including this one violate a lot of copyright infringements. My vote goes to KennethA’s The Needs….

Hahaha!!!! That was great! I like the interrogation. Very funny. :3

And the “It’s a Star Trek life… for us!” to the tune of “Hard Knock Life” from Annie was quite original, if not a little cheesy. But hey, Trek is kinda cheesy at times, so it fits.

You know, someone ought to open up one of these contests to people outside of the US.
