Following yesterday’s "indoctrination" video, there is what appears to be another entry in the viral campaign started last weekend by the "Klingon Propaganda" video. This time it is a very short piece of Federation propaganda responding to the Klingons, promoting the message of diversity.
The Federation Embraces You
Today the following video was posted on in response to the original Klingon Propaganda video
The video comes from a new account ‘UFP Truthers’ and has a similar animation style to the original Klingon animation, so it seems part of the same viral campaign. The description says:
Fellow sentients, it can be difficult to make the right choice of which galactic organization you want to be a part of. Choose the one that lets you be you. Because you’re special and you should go on being special.
The more you know – with Spock
The above Federation Message seems to be done in the style of the NBC ‘the more you know’ PSA’s. Here is one with Zachary Quinto, the new Mr. Spock, promoting voting.
This is starting to remind me of a 1960’s song, “There Comming To Take Me Away !!!!”
Why do I get the feeling its an ad for someones fan site?
Well, that Federation Embrace video was……underwhelming!
this screems star trek online to me
Well that was fast… 17 seconds…
“The video […] has a similar animation style to the original Klingon animation…”
UmH… What? This video has NO animation. Aside from the text, it’s a static drawing.
… interesting? I have no words for that, hahaha.
I choose Klingon rather than that pack o’ losers….
@ #4
TrekMovie right here said that they talked to Cryptic and they have nothing to do with it. Not to mention everything from the Klingon Propaganda video seemed to be from the wrong era to be STO related.
They send me ta’ sail
And I no question….
They send me ta’ pillage…
And I no question…
They send me ta’ duct tape Zachie Quinto and play “Truth Or Scare”…
I question…
Starry-fleet doesn’t want officers who dunna’ think and might arrrrgue wit’ orders… Oh, wait… gotta’ remove Quinto’s booties now… just be a tic… next be these pants… Hey- whar’s that green slave ta’ tangle me ticklies?!
Be… All… That… We Tell You To Be.
And get ready to kiss Picard.
Oh, I kidz cuz I loves. God Bless all tha’ fightin’ folks ’round tha’ world. Dunna’ beat me wit’ me Privates.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…
I smell deep cover viral campaign for next movie.
I do. I do.
I’d like say it’s STO…. What fractions can you play as… Federation or Klingon. It makes sense but the other suggests otherwise. Given the amount of work these videos have and the character designed I will go with new animated series.
It seems as though that every major motion picture is followed by an animated counterpart. Iron Man had the New Adventures of Iron Man, Spider-Man has had two, Transformers got “Transformers Animated” and a new series is in the works for the new Discovery Channel/Hasbro combination.
All indications point there in my opinion.
If this is at all related to the Klingon vid, then the Empire wins!
By the way, is it me, or is British Naval Dude getting drunker?
er, more drunk, that is. Cheers!
If you click on this video to take you to the actual youtube site, you’ll notice two people have commented on it. One of which is a user named qurgh, who has uploaded several other klingon videos, one from Star Trek 3, the other from Star Trek 5.
He is friends with Tanastvar, and has two people commenting on his channel, both comments in klingon.
This is getting interesting folks, can anyone translate those comments for me???
I hope this is for Star Trek XII.
I’m telling you guys it’s a plot for all the little Klingon kids to get all the candy on Halloween! That’s why the indoctrineating video came out, it’s almost like Hulus evil plot to destroy the world! It aslo explains why so many little Kingon children sing the song in the video! Just be sure to stock up on candy in time for the invasion! Ka’ plah’! (I think that’s right?)
Or this could just be a scam so people will join Acorn again! They could rename themselfs Blood Wine! Or not!
look at qurgh’s other vids!
Thanke’ Commander Crooner… but…
I be not as drunk as ye’ think I did… now sing me somethin’, Crooner!!!!
Wait… iz this be yer’ mailbox? Sorry I soiled it… I’ll clean it all up… Hey, whar’ am I? Some sorta’ Starry Trek webby-site?
Good thing I got on me Kirk underoos… but they keep comin’ off!
Oh, dear… gotta’ couch I can crash on? Crooner? Well, I’ll send him a Christmas card nonetheless… he be a good bloke… and his grassy lawn is mighty soft ta’ sleep upon… wit’ squirrel’s fur’ breakfast and…
Oh me God! Izzat a Gorn?!
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

I also think that tha’ Feds arrrrrrr’ always right and, like Picard said (or wuz’ it Picardo?) I should go at’ that warpcore wit’ me wee phazor set on fun… said so on tha’ Proper-Gander webby-site, it did…
Breach!!!!!
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…
This might be posted in response to the Klingon propaganda video, but it’s not done with the same skill, and it’s too short to suggest a complete video to me. I’d say this is a snippet from something else and someone’s just trying to play games.
As for what the video is linked to – I’m not sure. The movie doesn’t seem at all possible. The aesthetic is wrong, as someone said, and more to the point, there’s been no story development. Although I would be very interested in seeing what JJ & Co. do with the Klingons since they’re by far and away my personal favourite species with a very rich history to draw from.
I also doubt it’s for Star Trek: Online, apart from the fact they’ve already issued a denial. The era is wrong, though it could all have been a part of their roadmap between Nemesis and the time STO actually takes place, filling in some more of the blanks about the Klingons that was never addressed in a TV show or movie.
More likely, for me, would be that this is for an online “clan” for the game that someone is just putting out there in their own time. And it’s a very attractive package
They’re coming to take #1 away for bad spelling!
It’s building to something, I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the Blu-ray/DVD release myself. Or perhaps that new live show.
Yeah, the UFP needs a better comeback than that. I wonder what the Tholian propaganda machine has cookin’?
I wonder why both vids are pre-TOS…..
quick question: shouldnt the narada in the comics have picked up the borg signal that was sent back in that enterprise epiode? or shouldnt v’ger for that matter? im having a brain fart so maybe not but im just wondering. and was anything ever done about those pesky parasite aliens that were threatening the entire starfleet in that early tng episode? great villain that was never used… or am i wrong? in a book maybe? thanks for whoever knows
Nice…they’re wearing Cage-era uniforms, including the Cage-era dress uniform on the Terran guy. The Klingon video also suggested the Cage-era – if you notice the Federation starships shown in the video have static red hydrogen collectors, also with the “spire” on the end (like in “The Cage”).
But why are all the Federation aliens shown here all Enterprise crewpeople? They’re all wearing the Enterprise mission badge so we have to assume they’re stationed on the Enterprise.
@pj
v’ger is the force behind the borg.

“Embrace Diversity”
JJ, Bob, Alex and whoever is going to be an influence on Star Trek’s future, I hope you watch this.
@29, IIRC every one in the Cage had the E insignia on them, including the guy at the Orion dance club (who’s uniform that looks like).
#4. I agree … ST-online.
I have the feeling none of this should be taken seriously until we get some answers.
If it’s STO than at least it would in some way have to do with Star Trek and not just using Trek as a tool to push some (for now) hidden agenda.
@28 pj
It is a matter of oppinion since it was never “on screen” so no explination can be considdered cannon at this time. The most common answer is the Borg originated from V’ger when the probe met an robotic species. When Deker and Ilea joined V’ger in ST:TMP the probe exploded and dispursed itself through out the galaxy and eventually createing the Borg with the help of the robotic species that nurtured V’ger back to life. Of couse there are continuity problems with this, in ST:Voyager they encounter races that say the Borg where only a little cult a 1000 years ago. Also Guinan from TNG says they have been around for centuries. It seams likely that both could be true if the original Borg joined with V’ger and then begain their tyrade througout the Delta Quadrant.
As for Nero’s ship picking up the transmision the Borg sent in Enterprise this can’t happen since the message was picked up by the Borg ship that Q sent the Enterprise-D to. Remember the episode “Q Who?”, the Borg ship in that episode is revealed to be the one to recurve the message that was sent in ST:Enterprise. If you remember T’pol tells Archer it will arive in the Delta Quadrant in the 24th century. All of this is mixed up continuity, all the series are intertwined somehow, you just need to know your basic Trek! Hope this helps and the other guy who left that video link for you that video should help a bit but it was made before all the stuf from Enterprise was known.
The bug thing from TNG. It would help if I knew which one you are talking about. There are many in each series so if I know the episode name I can give you better info on the matter. Hope this helps, please comment!
Again..its not STO…its nor for JJ…its a political action viral marketing campaign done out of San Francisco (Bad Monkey Studios). Its using Trek to build political awareness. These are the same folks that do the advertising for PETA and Greenpeace.
#30: Okay, that was really dumb.
Interestingly enough, however, I guess there might be some basis for the premise. I read somewhere quite some time ago that Gene Roddenberry himself once joked that the origins of the Borg were tied to V’ger. Perhaps a bad result of the merging of three separate entities?
It is an interesting idea… I just think the interpretation presented at the website was dry, badly written and somewhat droll.
the enterprise craps rainbows
Yeah after that response, I’m totally joining the Klingons.
For once, I agree with The Angry Klingon…
The thing is… if this is for ST:O, then why are they using animations of TOS era?
The Klingons showed the classic Constellation Class, and even in the Federation Video, the Human had a gold command shirt and looked like Kirk. I’m sorry, but I doubt this has anything to do with STO and if it does, they are going in the wrong direction with the viral stuff
The Klingons win this propaganda contest. It’s a shoe-in.
They don’t even need the likes of Glenn Beck waling and wringing his pudgy hands. I sure hope The Federation can do better…
I liked my idea of the Federation response better.
What the heck? Picard with hair?! Funny.
#35 – I think the bugs in question were from the episode “conspiracy”, where a transmission is sent by remmick before he’s blown in two.
This pathetic response to the overwhelming awesomeness of the Klingon ad confirms me in my decision to betray these weakling Terrans and Federation personnel, and pledge allegiance to the might and glory of the Klingon Empire! If you readers have not yet made your decision, let his pathetic rainbow-hued plea to “embrace diversity” be proof enough that the Federation is destined to collapse due to the internal rot that pervades it. Join a winner! Join the Klingon Empire!
thanks #35(trekluver) for that. i got my borg signals mixed up. and actually it was those parasite aliens that sent a signal back to their homeworld not the borg. i need to go back and watch a few tng episodes after class today. i remember reading somewhere that those aliens were going to be the borg but the idea was shot down because of the bad responce they got after that episode. it wouldve been too expensive or too stomach turning, or both. but the aliens i’m talking about were parasites. they get in your throat and the only thing you can physically see is the tip of their tail sticking out of the base of your neck. i wish i could remember the episode name but i cant. someone has to know what im talking about lol i want to kno why those aliens were never used again or explored in one of the trek books.

“I think [read: know} the bugs in question were from the episode “conspiracy”, where a transmission is sent by remmick before he’s blown in two.”
There you go.
Between the two videos, I think I’d rather join the Klingons.
I bet this is a prank on everyone, thinking its a viral campaign when it’s really just a guy having fun making Klingon propaganda
