Star Trek Comics Returning This Summer – See Updated IDW Schedule

Two months ago IDW joined other comics publishers by halting distribution due to the coronavirus pandemic. Today IDW Publishing announced they were back in business, releasing their updated summer schedule, including a number of Star Trek titles that were originally planned for the spring.

Star Trek comics return this summer

Today’s IDW announcement was full of enthusiasm as the company revealed they are ready “to bring readers the summertime thrills they’ve been longing for — all available from your friendly neighborhood comic shops!” In a statement, IDW president Chris Ryall says, “We’ve all been waiting — fans, retailers, and our staff alike — fervently and sometimes with a bit of understandable restlessness.”

The updated summer schedule includes a number of new issues of Star Trek comics as well as some trade paperback collections. The new comics include the start of the brand new Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – Too Long a Sacrifice mini-series, the first DS9 comics in a decade. Another highlight is the one-off featuring Khan from the Mirror Universe. Speaking to TrekMovie.com, Chase Marotz, IDW’s editor overseeing Star Trek, said “Trek comics are back in production and the adventures will continue soon!”

I wonder which one I should get?

I can’t believe they are actually doing DS9. But Mirror Universe Khan, what’s that all gonna be about?! I’m a sucker for any Mirror Universe comic.
