The Mirror Universe invasion of Star Trek Online that began last September continues with the brand new season featuring Star Trek: Voyager star Kate Mulgrew voicing two Janeways.
Two Janeways in Star Trek Online: Shadow’s Advance
Today Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios announced that Captain Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager will make her Star Trek Online debut in “Shadow’s Advance,” the game’s new 12th anniversary season which releases on PC today, and will arrive on consoles in March. Kate Mulgrew voices both the Prime and Mirror universe versions of Kathryn Janeway in a mission alongside Captain Killy (voiced by Mary Wiseman from Star Trek: Discovery) and Admiral Leeta (voiced by Chase Masterson from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). “Shadow’s Advance” introduces a brand-new featured episode along with new features and a special anniversary event.

Play your Mirror self
For the first time, players will be able to play the Mirror version of their own characters in the featured episode, “Red Shift.” The announcement explains the details:
Captains will join Terran forces led by Marshall Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) to kidnap a person of great importance from Jupiter Station in Federation space. They will be joined by Captain Killy (Mary Wiseman), the Mirror version of Ensign Tilly from Star Trek: Discovery. The game’s newest season follows their story from the perspective of Admiral Janeway from the Prime Universe, who is retelling the accounts of their actions.
More new features
“Shadow’s Advance” also celebrates Star Trek Online’s 12th anniversary. Since launching in February 2010 the MMORPG has been played by millions of Captains from around the world with 25 seasons, featuring over 750 starships. To celebrate this milestone, the devs have brought back the Omega Molecule Stabilization mission, a fan- favorite event which tasks players with stabilizing Omega molecules which Q has scattered throughout the galaxy. Participating in this event along with numerous episodes and TFOs associated with Mirror Universe, will unlock this year’s anniversary ship, the T6 Jarok Alliance Carrier.
Today’s season introduces a brand-new five-captain space TFO called “Iuppiter Iratus.” Players will need to assemble a team of five and stop the Terran Empire from stealing data from Jupiter Station.

I haven’t played this game for 9 years, I wonder if my login still works….
I just played the latest episode on Star Trek Online. They brought back someone we never thought we’d see again.
It’s amazing to see the Janeway revival continue in the franchise the last two years from books to games and her own show again. Totally deserved!
I still cross my fingers Mulgrew will wear the uniform to see her in live action again!
A fanboy can dream. 😁
As much as I’d love to see Janeway come back I think they’d just ruin her the way they ruined Picard.
Picard is fantastic???
Oh please…….
Ahh yes STO boldly go and destroy all who stand in your way.
Shadow’s Advance? Babylon 5 crossover confirmed!
“And so it begins”
Four of the gameplay screencaps are interiors, and two of them reveal one of the game’s IMHO problems: the sets are over-scaled, making the characters look like Hobbits (the explanation I found is that, with this game engine, the elbow room is necessary to keep the camera from drifting outside the walls). That bothered me so much I stopped playing. Well, that and I couldn’t remember the ship-navigation keys for more than five minutes after the in-game tutorial.
This animated character version of Janeway is simply not convincing as Janeway. Looks like a different person.
Mulgrew Looks nothing like that in real life.
