Fantastic show and season. The Borg episode is one of my favorites and just rewatched it again a week ago.

I love that episode as well, but I practically love them all. ;)
Prodigy is great Star Trek and deserves more seasons.
For sure bro! I love pretty much every episode as well. The show is really everything I love about Star Trek and super excited for season 2. I’m pretty sure it’s going to get shown and super excited for the Doctor, one of my top 10 favorite characters! 😃
Pre-ordered mine a while back, and am anxiously awaiting its arrival tomorrow. Prodigy is my favorite of the new shows, and I’ll gladly take another excuse to rewatch these episodes, along with these new special features. And here’s hoping it won’t be too long for another streaming service to save it.
They should remove this cartoon from canon.
But… why? 🤷♂️ It feels more like, and ties better into previous Trek than, say, Discovery!
Don’t bother with this troll. He’s just looking for attention.
Yep!
Nah. Just don’t watch it if you don’t like it.
It was canceled. They did the work for me.
Discovery was cancelled too. So that shouldn’t be canon anymore either. And there would definitely be lots of fans happy about it. ;)
Omg, TOS was cancelled too! And ENT. There is no canon.
As long as TNG, DS9, VOY and LDS stay canon I’m good! 😎👍
LOL, exactly! Maybe that applies to the Kelvin movies too since Beyond bombed and may never get another one of those either.
Stop watching it then. No one is forcing you to watch. The overwhelming majority of comments on YouTube loves it. Face it, you just don’t get it.
“I used to be with ‘it’, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now what I’m with isn’t ‘it’ anymore and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary. It’ll happen to you!”― Abe Simpson
Is this above your head genius?
lololololol excellent
There are Star Wars fans who feel the same way about the animated stuff and thinks Clone Wars is for kids and should never have been taken up into the canon of the films. They even wish none of the Filoni shows had happened. I think they should just like what they like if its the pre clone wars comics and novels when they were canon. And let the younger people like their cartoon shows.
I picked up the disc of the first half of S1, but that was because I actually saw it and enjoyed it so much. I’m not picking the last half of the season until I see it. Doesn’t make sense to me to buy something like this sight-unseen.
I agree, I have never bought a movie or show without seeing it first. But you’ll probably love it if you liked the first half so much. I thought the second half was stronger once Admiral Janeway showed up. And I know you’re not a big LDS fan so happy you’re enjoying this show at least.
That was (very was, alas) the advantage of having 5 trek shows going; there was something for everyone.
So true and I was a big fan of most of them personally. Now we’re sadly just down to two at the moment, but the Academy show will probably now start up again with the writer’s strike over and I’m still pulling for the Legacy show! :)
You’re probably right, Tiger. And about LDS, it did kind of turn me off at first, so I let it go. I do plan to circle back and try it again at some point, however. Cheers!
My girlfriend is giving LDS another chance this season after hating it so much the first season. She’s actually liking it more this season because Mariner is less annoying and not defying Starfleet rules. And she loves Tendi.
She still doesn’t love it lol, not even close. But have liked all the episodes this season. Believe me when I tell you miracles can happen. 😂
I would definitely give it another Danpaine. You may still hate it but if my girlfriend can like it more you may too.
Wow good to hear. I remember you telling some of us how much she hated it lol, but was willing to give it another shot. Glad she’s enjoying it more now. Hopefully it will continue though the rest of the season. :)
I’ve always loved Mariner but I’m happy she is no longer defying orders and accepted her promotion. They couldn’t keep that up forever. And it’s great to see these characters grow.
Hopefully you’ll give LDS another shot some day, but PRO is probably the show for most people who can’t get into that show for various reasons. I love LDS but PRO is the superior show for me as well and my favorite in all of the modern shows. But sadly was not surprised by its demise as you probably remembered.
My copy should be beaming down to my doorstep today. I can’t wait!
I must say, it’s a little frustrating how the show is being treated not only by its corporate handlers (specifically by Paramount’s streaming division) but also by the fandom. This show is so good, and has so much potential beyond even what it’s already brought us, yet a lot of the fandom apparently just kind of… ignores it.
A post with the latest incremental update on some minute advance on the slight possibility of another Kelvin movie maybe someday possibly happening, which might possibly maybe mean there’s a chance of getting a shallowly entertaining two-hour spectacle three or four years from now, draws four or five times as many comments here as an update on a vastly more substantial and varied and ambitious TV series that has a whole slew of additional episodes ready or almost ready to go right now, so much closer to release yet still in distribution limbo. How can Star Trek fans en masse not be dying to see a whole additional season that mostly already exists, right now, of one of the best, most inspiring shows in the franchise, when they’re madly slavering over the barest hint of a scrap of info on a movie that might or might not even happen, won’t be here for years even if it does come, will only be a couple of hours at most, and from all appearances based on its predecessors is almost certainly going to be at best just a mere escapist thrill ride, possibly entertaining but nothing more ambitious or challenging or meaningful than that? How are they so invested in the franchise’s next flashy but shallow popcorn diversion, but not on tenterhooks awaiting definitive word on the fate of a vastly deeper, more ambitious show that offers something truly different from the rest of the franchise, even while reaffirming and celebrating its core tenets and ideals?
I’m starting to feel like if we never get more Prodigy, it’s because the show is better than we deserve.
