Television critics have once again looked upon Star Trek and liked what they have seen with both Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks. Both shows are nominated for best series categories and one of Strange New Worlds‘ stars is also nominated.

The television nominations were announced today by the Critics Choice Association, and two Star Trek shows are being recognized. First up is the second season of Strange New Worlds, which has been nominated for two awards, including the biggest prize: Best Drama Series. It has serious competition with The Crown, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Loki, The Morning Show, Succession, and Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.
Celia Rose Gooding (Uhura) has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actress In A Drama Series. Her competition is Nicole Beharie (The Morning Show), Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown), Sophia Di Martino (Loki), Karen Pittman (The Morning Show), and Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets).
For the second year in a row, Star Trek: Lower Decks was nominated for Best Animated Series.
