Discovery crash lands on a planet… Maybe the spore drive will save the day.

Saru and Tilly will find Burnham’s subspace signal. “Far From Home” like Spiderman Far From Home.

Trekmovie must be huge Marvel fans. The Captain Marvel reference from the Grudge article got me excited.

What planet was Burnham on again? She was on Book’s ship at the end of the last episode.

I was more thinking of the Voyager episode Muse “Shining Voyager, far from home”

Hima

I wonder what new super powers Saru will have this season.

I do love this show, but I wish Georgiou had been left behind in the 23rd century. I just don’t enjoy the character.

Georgiou should have been dead.

You’ve got an international superstar in Michelle Yeoh and you turn her into Space Hitler. Makes me bloody angry. What a colossal waste. We’ll know soon enough why she’s still around. Hope its bloody good reason.

Even a Disney movie would know the (only) morally acceptable way of dealing with such a character is to give her a chance for sacrificing herself for the common good, a graceful death (see: Mulan). Not make her the hero of her own Star Trek series!

Yeah, the woman who wiped out the Mintakans, the Betazoids and the Klingons. We’re supposed to follow her on a character arc where she becomes a likable, I guess? She’ll presumably realize at some point that genocide is bad. And then, wracked with the level of guilt most people feel for running over a house cat, she’ll solemnly undertake to fight for good.

She should have been spaced two seasons ago.

I frequently defend Discovery, but this aspect I do not get at all.

Having her around was worth the gag of Tilly saluting her. That’s about it.

Please for the love of God. Proofread your posts. “Jake Wiseman,” really? Sheeh.

What are you, president of the Jake Weber Fan Experience? Medium Supporters Club?

“For the love of God?”

Why are so many Trek fans so ridiculously melodramatic over minor, minor issues?

🤔

Because it’s fun, Juan! – and we all need as much fun as we can get in times like these!!

But now that I’ve read all these heated comments about Georgiou I can’t wait to see what happens with her on Netflix here in the UK.

But the rest of the Discovery crew had better turn up in episode 2 because I REALLY missed them in last week’s season premiere.🙄

My first thought is that this looks badass. My second thought is that this looks badass. Bad. Ass. Bad. Shamone.

So these pictures worry me… Saru looks like he is restraining himself from taking off Georgiou’s head. Why hold back? Tilly looks super upset in every photo and I don’t care for the familiarity of the man with his arm around her shoulders. Also Detmer looks like she is having some doubts about her decisions too…

They’ve jumped forward nearly a millennia, lost Burnham and the timesuit (so they don’t exactly know where or when they are), and crashed the ship.

If they were looking like serenely confident, “weird is us” Starfleet officers, that would be concerning.

Millennium. :)

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

Some people ARE irredeemable in their habits, not just Space Hitler ;)

No argument with you there, I just don’t like seeing Tilly upset.

Having Saru kill the Empress would be very pleasing. The sooner they move Georgiou to the S31 show and then cancel that show, the better.

If any of the characters would violate an edict not to break away and go back to the 23rd century, she’d be the one.

Seriously, has anybody, anybody here ever expressed excitement at the idea of seeing Space Hitler helm this S31 show (opposed to a probably more acceptable general S31 show)? I just have no clue how they can still push through with this considering this complete lack of support in fandom. Do they do any market research?

I’d rather rewatch SUB ROSA again and again and again than this S31 show. no interest at all.

I think they may have at least a suspicion of that- note Picard, LDS, SNW and Prodigy have all been prioritized over S31.

Maybe we’ll see this show some day, but I’ve yet to hear of any fan who’s remotely stoked about it.

Stuck in development hell you think? Of course that’s the right place for Space Hitler to be ;)

This woman Naron in a couple of the pictures. Her race looks like the woman that Fazio disintegrated with the Varon T Disruptor in that Next Generation episode with Data.

Jake Weber was also in Hell on Wheels.

Doug Jones must be getting some big calf muscles from walking in those boots all day.

More Detmer please. Hubba hubba.

I’m wondering why almost everyone dresses in black or very dark colors. A lot of real cool looking, and expensive looking, black leather coats & jackets. Some serious custom tailoring going on here. It’s starting to look like goth rock, motorcycle club or leather bar gatherings.

Right? This is downtown Brooklyn circa 2020, not outer space in the 32nd century!

Yet another example how having ridiculously high budgets (they actually use designer brand clothing on the show) does NOT translate into more creative, believable science fiction!
