Clip explain’s Zora’s connection to S4 credits

The latest episode of The Ready Room featured a clip from this week’s episode (at 23:38) which shows Gray talking to Zora.

While Zora has been heard at various points during the season, in this scene the ship’s evolving AI is also represented by a holographic waveform graphic.

That waveform graphic representing Zora was one of the few new elements added for the opening credits of season four.

Zora has been in the credits for all of season four

Just curious, when/how did you find out the episode title? I’ve been hunting it to no avail all week, lol. It’s so weird how close to the chest they’re keeping this stuff.

Paramount+/CBS likely include it in the press release with the other materials above.

Yeah, that’s gotta be it, true. I work in the gaming press and we get seemingly big details like this via press junkets every week, haha.

Correct.

The ViacomCBS Press Express web site makes them available as well, though I sometimes see them on other sites first, so I assume they send it out to their partners as well.

IMDb

I wonder if we will get the 5th season announcement this week. I remember a poster saying it was around the 6th episode it usually gets renewed. I suppose we shall see.

Yeah, I said it. It happened during Season 1, and 2. Season 3 had an early announcement. We’ll see… (And I’ll be VERY surprised if Disco doesn’t get a Season 5.)

A cat in a carrier on a spaceship never ends well.

hahaha, I was thinking the same thing, Ripley.

Nice….

Everyone seems nonchalant about the ship being able to declare it has emotions

Yeah, erm… that seemed like something you would NOT want the ship to have, or enough self-awareness to give itself a name.

Yeah, I pointed this out several times how no one seems all that curious or even worried about how their computer is gaining more consciousness by the episode and doesn’t try to figure out exactly how self aware it may get to the point it could make its own decisions or not.

You think they would send in a bunch of A.I. experts from Starfleet to talk to her or get to the bottom of how it’s doing any of this, but yeah, this is Discovery.

You would think that the Discovery crew would be especially skittish about their ship’s AI gaining sentience after they fought the Section 31 Control when it went all Skynet on the universe and tried to kill everybody.

Here’s a theory….Vger….looking to connect with the evergrowing intelligent computer on Discovery. There’s an idea there I don’t know how to articulate it!

Sigh moments from pics:
1. C-plot looks like continuation of Adira/grey (zzzz) finding-their-way-plot. Was nice to not see them in the last episode.

2. Burnham suiting up again like superwoman…give someone else something to do damnit!

Still dislike this show but I still watch it as it has brief moments of brilliance, but too brief!

A newly built synthetic android and an evolving self aware computer playing a game together. This is why it’s fun to see Star Trek going forward again. You couldn’t get this scene in seasons 1 or 2.

The preview makes the episode look real spooky and mysterious and Frakes is back to direct. Another reason to be excited about this episode.

Stamets doesn’t look happy!

I’m putting on my crazy theory hat today!

So, the DMA created a subspace rift that the Disco will enter? The trailer makes it look trippy….like 1979 trippy TMP trippy….lol.

Ok, so I don’t think it’s V’ger but my theory is it has something to do with Red Matter! It can create a tunnel through spacetime and wreak havoc on the universe.

Perhaps a connection with the Kelvin universe is coming….

Costume and set are outstanding. Love, love, LOVE watching all of it.

Serious question: is Sonequa Martin-Green (Burnham) pregnant?

You mean right now? No idea. She did give birth shortly before production on season 4 started. She mentioned that in one of the BTS packages where they talked about the wire work for the season premiere.
