Tickets Almost Sold Out For 56-Year Mission; 130 Star Trek Celebrities Lined Up For Big Las Vegas Convention

We are now just three weeks away from Creation Entertainment’s big annual Las Vegas Star Trek convention, now branded as the 56-Year Mission. Even though they no longer have the official Star Trek license, the convention is has one of the biggest selection of Star Trek guests lined up for the four-day event which kicks off on August 25th at the new venue, Bally’s Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip. But if you want to attend and haven’t got tickets, you better act fast.

Almost sold out

Creation has announced that they have sold out of all of their weekend passes. They had previously sold out of their Gold, Captain’s Chair, and Copper packages, and Creation just announced they have sold out of General Admission weekend packages. As of now, there are just a small number of Preferred Single-Day passes available for Saturday (at $90)  as well as Single-Day passes for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday (for $70).

UPDATE: All Saturday passes now sold out.

There are still plenty of celebrity photo-op and autograph tickets available. And there are also still rooms available at Bally’s Hotel. More info is available at the official website.

130 Trek Celebrities

2022 is looking like one of the biggest years ever in terms of Star Trek celebrity guests. Headliners include William Shatner, George Takei, Zachary Quinto, Gates McFadden, Jonathan Frakes, John de Lancie, Nana Visitor, Terry Farrell, Kate Mulgrew, Jeri Ryan, John Billingsley, Anthony Montgomery, Ron Perlman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Tawny Newsome, John Noble, and Tig Notaro. And they are still adding new guests, with Ethan Peck just announced this week. And there are many more stars and behind-the-scenes Star Trek luminaries lined up from across the Star Trek television and movie eras. You can see a full guest line-up HERE.

In addition to the celebrity panels (and autograph/photo-ops), there will also be the usual variety of events around the convention. Some new features this year will be a tribute to Ricardo Montalban, a stand-up special with Tig Notaro, a yoga class with Mary Chieffo, and more. There will also be anniversary screenings of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek Nemesis.

Interesting hotel choice this year. I guess definitely more fun and convenient to access than Rio and old Hilton.

Going to be LOTS of starfleet emblems at the Bellagio fountains this year…

The move is a one-off, as Rio is rennovating their conferece facilities this year.

Will be back at Rio in ’23.

I SO wish that my health were good enough to attend!

Have fun, all of you who do.

My MIL is in assisted living out there, so the wife and I have been getting out there frequently. Vegas does wear on you, though. Stimuli overload.
Positive thoughts towards your health situation. It sucks not feeling well.

Thanks for your good wishes; I appreciate that!

there are Nine lights!

Brilliant.

(See what I did there?)

If you were ever on Star Trek or starred on Star Trek, you are set for life. Unemployed….hit the convention circuit….so cool! I wish I could go!

Yeah…the guy in the TOS rubber Gorn suit got billing. Gotta wonder what that call sounded like??

Time for the Spocks Zach Quinto and Ethan Peck to mind meld across the multiverse.

They can reply in harmony when asked about the status of Trek 14, “damned if I know”…..

That 56-Year Mission Las Vegas Star Trek convention begins on the day before Power Morphicon 2022–the Power Rangers convention in Southern California. I hope both conventions would officially livestream for those who can’t afford to see either convention in person.

Its weird they only have one group photo-op (Mount/Romijn) this year or maybe its because of covid.
