Today, Paramount+ released the official poster for the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard during a panel at the Winter TCA (Television Critics Association).
Old School Cool For Picard S3
Here is the brand-new poster, which uses a classic design style…
In addition to Jean-Luc Picard, the poster features the returning Next Generation cast, including Brent Spiner playing a version of Lore along with Jeri Ryan as Seven and Michelle Hurd as Raffi. The poster also features the USS Titan-A being pursued by the Shrike, commanded by Vadic (Amanda Plummer), the main antagonist for season 3.
Last summer, Paramount+ also released a series of individual character posters at San Diego Comic-Con.
More to come from TCA 2023
Paramount+ brought showrunner Terry Matalas and executive producer Alex Kurtzman to the TCA event along with actors Sir Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, Gates McFadden and Michael Dorn. Check back later for a roundup of all the big reveals from the panel.
The third and final season of Picard premieres on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., with new episodes of the 10-episode-long season available to stream weekly on Thursdays.
Picard streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S.A. It is distributed concurrently by Paramount Global Content Distribution on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories, and in Canada it airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave.

Very nice!
Interesting warp effect happening on the letters of PICARD at the bottom.
Do y’all think head size is role size?
Head size usually aligns with the placement on the call sheet and the size of the role.
What I find interesting is the placement of Riker in the middle. Second largest head is consistent with Matalas having said that Riker is in every episode, but also suggests a centrality to the season’s storyline.
Exactly what I was thinking. Very Picard/Riker centered with important parts for Crusher and La Forge.
Hope there is a bigger Worf on that poster!
I hope we’re getting more Worf than his placement on the poster would indicate! Dorn is a better actor than a lot of the actors with larger heads…
Raffi is so out of place on that poster. Everyone else is a great character.
100%
I like Worf and Seven side by side because they’ve appeared as regulars on other Trek series.
Looking good! It’s still crazy it’s even happening.
Yup, let’s face it, this is what all those people at STLV and on the internet were cheering for when Sir Patrick was introduced back in 2018.
I know he is a polarizing figure to many, but I have give kudos to Kurtzman for realizing the mistakes they made with this show and for remedying them by putting S3 into the sole hands of Matalas.
As you said elsewhere, you have heard or read feedback from those who have actually seen S3 and things are looking positive. Less than a month to go!
Yep, per usual, I am right there with you!
As you know, I don’t love all the shows and that includes Picard, but I ALWAYS support Kurtzman because he clearly listens to the complaints and issues people have and try to improve and make changes where he sees there can be improvement. End of the day, that’s all you can ask for. It doesn’t mean its all better, but it’s improving.
I’ll be very honest, look at Discovery, I still don’t love it lol. And YET nearly every complaint I had about the show in the first season has been erased. That’s the crazy thing. I didn’t like it being a prequel (but got over it by season 2), it was too dark, the Klingons (ugh), not enough exploration, feels waaaay too advanced for its period, lack of new species, the uniforms suck, the characters are too distant and unlikable (but that’s happened for other new Trek shows), giving Spock a sister and on and on and on and on and on lol.
But I look at the show today and all those issues are gone for me. They obviously listen to feedback. Now I still think the show is mostly ‘meh’ but that’s because of the #1 issue I had back in first season, it’s just not a good written show. Not awful, there are way worse shows out there, but yeah. But I can’t sit here and pretend the show hasn’t improved or evolved. That’s what is frustrating, I want to like the show more. I should like the show and I still just don’t. It’s great to see the first Trek show since TNG to be in a completely new century and setting; Kurtzman gets a lot of credit for really trying to do something innovative with a 50 year old franchise. It’s why it’s frustrating, this is wanted for a long time now. I don’t know if I’ll ever really like it, but I do give credit where it’s due.
And with Picard I’m really hoping they surprise us, but they are obviously this season has to get to right, not just as ‘legacy’ to show since it’s ending, but what’s coming after it too.
Lore. Is he wearing a Starfleet uniform? It is different from the one on the trailer. Interesting face gesture.
That does look like a Starfleet uniform to me. I wonder — if B4 couldn’t handle Data, did they try uploading him into Lore’s more advanced positronic brain, leaving the latter feeling a little conflicted and confused, and ever-more Data-like? (I appreciated the nerve of making S1 sort of a “Quest for Data” and ending it with Data being “definitively” deleted, but it also felt a little bit narratively gratuitous — Picard could have gotten over the loss without such a literal consolation.)
I have so many questions. Like in a previous post, he also has human color type of skin.
Wonder if they will end up reviving Data to fight Lore. Maybe a Data with a Golum type of body. Knowing Picard, maybe he was forced to revive his deleted files. : D
Thank you! He is totally wearing a Starfleet uniform. What is that about? This make my mind run wild! Wild I tell you!
Can’t wait to watch Season 3! Still, I prefer to wait 6-7 weeks to watch a couple of episodes all at once.
Lore has android eyes but human skin. Cool.
I’m very stoked about this! I hope it’s good!
Dear old Patrick is reportedly saying that he is open to a FOURTH series appearance….if the show can ‘maintain the quality of the first three seasons’.
Oh my sides, the sheer F-bomb hubris! :)
Since he’s saying that and also open to another TNG film, I guess the character isn’t dying (again) in season 3. ;)
Are we not getting Guinan?
Bring it home Terry. Let’s go out with a bang.
So nobody dies? That’s a relief…unless talk of a follow-up is being used to disarm us!
I’m not sure why there is so much emphasis on anyone dying since Star Trek had 5 shows in the previous era and no one died by the end in any of those except Trip in TATV and we saw how well that went over lol.
Matalas stirred the pot when he suggested some could die but I’m guessing none of the main characters would when you are planning future spin off shows and maybe another movie will finally get made before they all hit 90. In other words keep your options wide open.
Possibly because the other seasons had more death than Trek typically does, and leaned on it prettily heavily for emotional impact (not always earned). So that’s probably why folks are expecting someone’s going to get the axe for the series finale.
Absolutely agree Tiger2! As demonstrated countless times since TWOK, death is not always permanent in the Star Trek universe.
In fact, considering the omnipotence of the continuum, I would not be surprised to see Q once again deliver those words… “au contraire mon capitan! He’s back!”
Looks like the latest plate from Hamilton
Not enough skin smoothing. LOL
Looks like a plate
For a second I thought this was the poster of The Expanse Season 5.
They should make these available. I can imagine there would be a few collectors out there that would want one.
I’m getting strong “Trust Terry” vibes from this poster.
Star Trek: Cocoon.
Interesting that Data is the low man on the totem pole.
