This week IDW wraps up the mini-series celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The five-issue “Dog of War” is touted as an exclusive “lost episode” set within the timespan of DS9. It is written by Mike Chen (Star Wars: Brotherhood) with art from Trek vet Angel Hernandez. We have a five-page preview and all the covers from the fifth and final issue.

Synopsis: 

With stolen Starfleet data on its way to the Dominion, Captain Sisko dons the mysterious Borg headset in an attempt to stop the transmission! Meanwhile, Major Kira and Lieutenant Commander Dax race to keep their new crewmember and prized corgi off the black market.

Is anyone taking this series seriously?

I’m just here to see if Weyoun is in it. I didn’t sign up to watch Ben Sisko get more traumatized. Kinda annoyed though, from the way the series description was worded I was expecting the Dominion from issue 1.

It’s hilarious and very enjoyable, so yes!
