Is this a digital only release? I ask this, as I cannot see any physical disc release, on Amazon..

Hollyweird

The game updates are digital download only. They’re basically like patches.

Good Grief, Physical Discs are waaaaaaay past, gentlemen. It’s cheaper and requires less resources now to offer content directly Online (as opposed to being sold at Best Buy, for example) and has been the standard since the beginning of this decade…

I disagree. I still see many people buy discs.

Hollyweird

Many do. But a lot of game content is purchased through the PlayStation and XBox online stores. In the case of Star Trek Online, the main game is a free download. FREE. And also free to play, but with the option of in-game purchases of additional content. No real point in them making physical discs.

Star trek online is such a lousy game (whatever you call it) though. The graphics are not great, the engine is a bit dated, so much fraustration. Star Trek deserves a really big game that taps into the core feelings of the shows and movies. Elite Force came closest to this, great Trek game, probably best ever made for Trek.

Hollyweird

Was Elite Force the Voyager FPS? That thing was awesome. Best thing that came out of that show, hands-down.
