Original works of art featured in the official traveling exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of Star Trek will be offered to fans for the first time in Heritage Auctions’ Entertainment & Movie Memorabilia Auction April 15. “Star Trek: 50 Artists. 50 Years.” highlights 50 international artists – including Leonard Nimoy.
On offer are sculptures, paintings, illustrations and mixed media works curated by CBS Consumer Products for the exhibit’s 2016-17 global tour which debuted at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2016. The touring exhibition was seen by over 100,000 fans at 11 stops through North America, Europe and the Middle East. The artwork imagery has also appeared on numerous officially licensed Star Trek merchandise including a hardcover art book of the same name (see TrekMovie review).
“This is the first time a body of work like this has ever been offered at auction at one time,” said Giles Moon, an Entertainment Consignment Director at Heritage Auctions. “The artworks are marvelous and truly capture how Star Trek’s television programs and films have influenced generations of artists around the world.”

If I had the spare cash – I’d pay good money for that Star Trek II poster.
Me too. It’s the best piece there by some margin.
I have that one and the Spock one it was in a calendar last year where all of the pieces were pull outs and could be framed.
I have the Star Trek II poster from that calendar too; I wish it was a little larger but it looks great and lets everyone at work know who the Trekker is! A few of the other pull outs were worth framing and hanging around the house.
Pretty exciting. I’ve a piece in the show. ‘Risk Is Our Business’. Got to meet Nichelle at SDCC for the opening back in 2016. (Oh, and I’ve very affordable prints of it available too if anyone’s interested! Haha! Forgot about that bit.)
Paramount surely needs to beam up Calvin Ma to the art department.
