Captain Picard Day is celebrated on June 16th, a tradition that started on the USS Enterprise-D in the episode “The Pegasus.” Today, Star Trek Fleet Command celebrates Picard Day with more Star Trek: The Next Generation content to celebrate Picard, and a special promo featuring three TNG stars.
Fleet Command brings in Frakes, Burton, and Spiner
Following up last month’s promo featuring Sonequa Martin-Green and Karl Urban, Fleet Command continues to bring in the big guns for game spots. Today they released a new one featuring Star Trek: The Next Generation stars LeVar Burton, Jonathan Frakes, and Brent Spiner. The three appear as themselves, on board Fleet Command ships.

Celebrate Picard Day Week
Last month, the mobile game Star Trek Fleet Command expanded to include content, characters and missions from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Last month’s update added five playable arcs from Star Trek: The Next Generation. In honor of Captain Picard Day, they added more to the massive multiplayer mobile game. In fact, they are turning into a weeklong celebration of Picard. From June 14 – June 20, players can celebrate Captain Picard with a week of in-game giveaways, login bonuses, new missions, new officers, and more.
Players can now add the renowned Epic Officer Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Rare Officer Wesley Crusher to bolster ranks and increase your power against enemies. There are also ten new TNG missions, including five that are Picard-themed. The updates even offer a new selection of avatars and frames, including the legendary Picard Facepalm to add some TNG flair.
Star Trek Fleet Command is also giving away Picard-themed bundles and special prizes just for logging in. Check out the new game promo celebrating Captain Picard.

It’s a shame. The in-game store is essentially twenty $99 packs. It’s appalling. Apparently, people even spend their money on them. I have other priorities. 💸🗑️

Wow I have no idea how I didn’t know about Captain Picard day until now. I knew there was one on the show but didn’t know fans made it ‘official’. This is the kind of stuff that I love about fandom. :)

What’s crazier is I clicked on the link and found out it’s been an official holiday since 2007!! What?????
Say what you will about the game, the ethics behind the purchasing scheme, and the crappy character graphics, but seeing Frakes, Spiner, and Burton in this ad was fun.
