The ninth episode of the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy arrives on Paramount+ this week. We have details and photos to get you started.
“A Moral Star, Part 1”
The penultimate episode of the first 10-episode story arc of Prodigy’s first season is going to be the first part of a two-parter. The two-part mid-season finale is a team effort, written by the entire season one writers’ room (Kevin & Dan Hageman, Julie Benson, Shawna Benson, Lisa Schultz Boyd, Nikhil S. Jayaram, Diandra Pendleton-Thompson, Chad Quandt, and Aaron J. Waltke), and it’s directed by executive producer and creative lead Ben Hibon. “A Moral Star, Part 1” debuts on Paramount+ on Thursday, January 27, with the second part of the mid-season finale arriving on February 3.
The crew forgo their dreams of Starfleet to return to Tars Lamora in a no-win scenario.
Usually, Paramount+ does not release a trailer or clip for Prodigy. But if anything becomes available we will update this preview.
Discovery is back in February
Episode 407 of Star Trek: Discovery was a mid-season finale. The series will return with episode 408 on February 10.
New episodes of Prodigy premiere on Thursdays on Paramount+ in the U.S. and on CTV Sci-Fi Channel in Canada, where it’s also available to stream on Crave. It is available on Paramount+ in Latin American, the Nordic Countries, and Australia. It will debut later in 2022 in parts of Europe with the launch of the Paramouint+ Sky partnership.

Wow, already the second two parter for a show that’s only ten episodes old. They are really doing things differently but in a good way.
I really hope we get some big answers by part two. But being a two parter and the mid season finale implies it’s going to be a reveal a few big things for the second half.
Be careful if you don’t want to be spoiled.
There are some other production stills for this episode that have been leaked that I rather wish I hadn’t seen yet.
Woah it sounds like you stumbled upon something pretty spoilerly. To be honest, every time I see something that even hints at a Trek spoiler I click immediately. I have zero will power lol. But if it’s not directly in my face, then I’m strong enough not to go looking for it. So thanks for the warning! I’ll try at least.
Thanks for the warning TG47 and if the spoiler images were intentionally omitted, then thanks to Trekmovie.com for not incl them.
Sir Humpy Appleby could not have said it better himself.
So here it is 4:41 AM and the episode is nowhere to be found on Paramount +. What’s up with that, I wonder?
I was wondering the same thing. It’s 5:52 where I am.
Paramount + is like Burger King now, too few people showing up for work to be able to have someone to hit the upload button. :(
Same. Uh….. I was so looking forward to it before work.
