SYNOPSIS

Series:

Set in the Prime Timeline, the USS Discovery (NCC-1031) and the USS Shenzhou (NCC-1227) explore the galaxy, 10 years before Kirk takes command of the Enterprise NCC-1701 (TOS).

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.

The series will feature a new ship, new characters and new missions, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.


HOW TO WATCH

 

USA:

First episode will be broadcast on CBS as well as available on CBS All Access streaming service, then all others will be exclusively on CBS All Access streaming service.

Streaming premiere:

The series premiere will be made available on CBS All Access at 8:30PM ET / 5:30PM PT, with the second episode (2nd part of premiere) unlocked at 9:30PM ET / 6:30PM PT.

Broadcast premiere:

For those who are undecided and haven’t subscribed to All Access yet, there will be a special showing on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 PM, ET/PT (time approximate following NFL Football and 60 Minutes).

Weekly episodes:

After premiere night, all new episodes will be available on-demand weekly on Sundays at 8:30PM ET/5:30PM ET exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in the U.S.

The first eight episodes will run from Sunday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 5. The season will then resume with the second chapter debuting in January 2018.

Canada:

Canadian media partner is Bell Media.

Space Channel will launch the first two episodes (special premiere) of Star Trek: Discovery on Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 PM ET.

CTV will also show the first episode at 8:30PM ET for those interested in checking out the show but aren’t yet subscribed to Space or CraveTV. To see the second episode that night, you must subscribe to a cable or satellite package with Space Channel.

The first eight episodes will run from Sunday, September 24 through Sunday, November 5. The season will then resume with the second chapter in January 2018. Every episode will also be available to Space subscribers on the newly launched Space GO app, in addition to being available on Space.ca and participating On Demand channels. Star Trek: Discovery will also stream exclusively in Canada on CraveTV. Episodes will be available on CraveTV service 24-hours after airing on Space.

Discovery will also be shown the Bell Media owned Z channel in French, starting on Sunday, September 24 at 9:00PM. With new episodes airing weekly Sundays at 9:00PM.

All other regions:

The show has been licensed to Netflix for the rest of the world. Episodes will be released weekly, each episode of the new series will be made available within 24-hours of its U.S. premiere.

Netflix will launch Star Trek: Discovery on Monday, September 25 to countries outside of the U.S. and Canada. The first eight episodes will run from Monday, September 25 through Monday, November 6 with the second chapter in January 2018.
