Sci-Fi Sunday: Watchmen, Terminator, Wolverine, Stargate, Dollhouse, Heroes, Jericho + More

This week we have lots of drama from the spring/early summer movies with the Watchmen suit settled, Terminator cameo news and Wolverine reshoots, plus the usual collection of previews, including the cool looking Moon. In TV news the new Stargate premiere has moved, Fox has news on Fringe, Dollhouse and more, and there is talk of movies for Pushing Daisies and Jericho!    


Abrams and Orci On Fan Reaction + Bob Meets Brannon

We have another Abrams and Orci interview coming out of the Fox TCA event held earlier this week. Access Hollywood chatted to the pair about what it is like to work together on Fringe and Trek, how it felt for Trek to be completed (which Abrams confirmed), and their anticipation of fan reaction to Star Trek. BSG Preview: Season 4.5 Is Here + Olmos as Picard?

The ragtag fleet is back! Tonight the first of the final 10 episodes of Battlestar Galactica airs and so TrekMovie brings back our weekly BSG previews. Tonight five seasons of Stargate Atlantis comes to an end. Ushering in the finale  as part of the SGA crew are Robert Picardo, veteran of seven seasons of Star Trek Voyager and Paul McGillion, who has a small role in the new Star Trek movie. Sunday Movie – “Trek Through Time”

Our friends at Kelvington.com have put together a fun a special Christmas present for fans of Star Trek, as well as fans of the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. "Trek Through Time" is an excellent and cleverly edited video ‘mashup’ episode that brings the good Doctor and his trusty TARDIS face to face with Captain Kirk and the USS Enterprise. Celebrate ‘Fringemas’

It is been a while since we have done an update on Fringe, the new show from the Star Trek team of JJ Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. The genre mystery series returns January 20th with new episodes, and if you want to get caught up, FOX has created a fun Walterific ‘Fringemas’ video recap of the first season so far, see below.

It is usually slow towards the end of the year, but there is a ton of genre news this week. Michael Dorn A Surprise Guest On Tonight’s Heroes + Denise Crosby Appears On Prison Break

UPDATED: Monday night December 15th was a big night for former security officers of the USS Enterprise D. Firstly, Michael Dorn is the latest Star Trek crossover to appear on the NBC comic-book drama Heroes where  Star Trek The Next Generation’s Worf was a surprise guest star. And on Fox Denise Crosby (TNG: Tasha Yar) showed up on Prison Break. [images of both below + SPOILERS below]


George Takei To Voice Character In ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’

It had to eventually happen. Star Wars and Star Trek’s histories have been intertwined from the beginning, and now George Takei will be the first Star Trek main cast actor to appear in a George Lucas Star Wars production, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon version which has brought in nearly 20 million viewers for its first few episodes on the Cartoon Network.

Exclusive Video Interview: Braga & Coto Talk 24 and Enterprise

In 2003 Manny Coto joined the staff for Star Trek Enterprise where where he worked closely with co-creator Brannon Braga for the final two seasons. Now the pair are working together again on 24, which airs a 2-hour prequel movie on FOX tonight (Sunday). In August TrekMovie spoke to the Coto and Braga about 24 and Enterprise.
