The Collective: DST Announces Ultimate Spock + Details On New Tribble and 1701 D

We have some October surprises from DST. This week Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum announced a new item (an Ultimate Scale Spock) as well as details on the previously announced ‘Electronic Tribble’ and Enterprise 1701D ship toy. Quinto and Burk Talk Future Of Trek Film Franchise

The upcoming issue of the UK’s SFX has a Star Trek cover story and the fine folks at the magazine have shared with TrekMovie some exclusive excerpts from interviews with Zachary Quinto (the new Spock) and executive producer Bryan Burk, and one item of particular interest is both speaking about the future of the franchise after the new Star Trek movie.




Shatner and Trek Vets Shut Out at 2008 Emmys

The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were held this evening, and no, William Shatner didn’t win. Unlike last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmys, nobody associated with Trek walked away with an Emmy this year. However, The Shat did provide a moment of levity during the otherwise excruciating first 10 minutes. Read more on that and Shat’s fellow Trek losers below.

Orci & Kurtzman: Star Trek Very True To Canon – Even Books

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have a lot of things going on right now with their new show Fringe, the new movie Eagle Eye (opening next weekend), the next Transformers movie and a little thing called Trek.
